CHAPTER 65: WRONG NUMBER.
Paul was relaxed in bed cuddling with his wife when a text came in his phone. He ignored it and continued cuddling. Ivana also saw his phone's screen brighten up but she didn't bother to tell him. She didn't want her good moment to be distracted. They have just finished making love and so they were relaxing before take a shower and move on with their daily schedules.
After fifteen minutes a call came to Paul's cell phone, he wanted to ignore it but the volume of the ringtone was high and lound enough. He asked his wife who was calling because the phone was on the table near the bed on the side Ivana was sleeping.
She stretched her had and picked it , she checked the caller but it was a new number with unregistered ID. Paul wanted to ignore it but she urged him to pick it saying that it might be important maybe a business contract from a bigwig.
He picked it only to be surprised with the caller. It was her, the woman he have been trying to avoid since Ivana forgave him. His ex-girlfriend Slyvia. Since Paul and Ivana were close to each other under the duvet. Ivana heard what the caller said.
"Hello handsome ,do you remember me? I am in town if...." The caller said.
"Paul cut her off before she could finish her sentence. " It must be a wrong number" then he ended the call.
"Who was she?" Ivana asked politely, Paul was got off guard as he struggled to answer her.
"Mmmmh don't mind just a nobody, l....l think it's a wrong number, don't let it disrupt our moment wifey" he chuckled as he snuggled himself near her.
What Paul didn't know that Ivana knows who she was. She was the girl he attended her graduation ceremony in Eldoret when her father was lying on a death bed in the hospital. Paul had the guards to lly to her that he is going for a business conference he couldn't afford to miss.
Afterwards their were numerous photos that the girl posted on his social media pages. Infact in cost an uproar in the instagram as everybody was hastagging them as #Perfect couple # or couple goals.
When Paul returned from Eldoret he didn't care to visit them in the hospital. Although Ivana was dying for an explanation from him. Why he agreed them to be married yet he is in love with another woman. As he remembered correctly Paul and his mother were the ones pushing for their union.
At that time she wished to meet Paul and ask him. But she didn't want to compromise leaving her dad alone in the hospital or just being away from him when he was in that state. She forget about the matter when her dad died.
And now here he is denying it pretending not to know her. Although Ivana has never heard Slyvia's voice neither see her. She had searched for her contact and crammed it.
When Paul asked her who was calling him. She didn't want to tell him because the number was unsaved. The call came in as a new number.Looking at it she knows too well to whom the contact belonged.
Although she she is not well connected with the technology. She knows that their is a way where someone can hide the name of the caller. And that's perfectly what he did,so that no one gets suspicious.
"Ooh that's fine,you know you can miss out one number from the contact and you end up calling a wrong person it's a common mistake" she said.
"Latest wake up l don't want you to be late at work. Also l want to visit my dad's lawyer to ask him matters concerning the Company".
