CHAPTER 128:NOT BLACKMAIL.

He left for Mrs Wechuli's home, Miss Eva, best friend to Mrs Wechuli had informed him that their was changes made in the contract following the press conference released. So all of four major parties that had interest in Luhyahood dream company were required to be present, that is Mrs Wechuli the CEO of the company, Mr Mukhongo her advice, Miss Eva the investor and Miss Alice main investor.

They arrived at Mrs Wechuli's homestead and they were surprised to be told that she was not in. The gate man opened the gate for them and they remained seated in their cars.

"I told you to tell her that we needed to rediscuss about the contract, didn't you tell her?" Miss Alice asked annoyingly. She like being time concious and doesn't like her time being wasted.

"Boss the time you told me was very let at night so l texted her, I didn't call her. I think she has read the message already" Miss Eva replied politely.

She knows how her boss can be sometimes, so she needed to be as polite as she can so that they can wait for Mrs Wechuli to arrive. She didn't want to miss taking revage on her best friend. 

Mr Mukhongo who was not close to them remained in the car and decided to listen to music.

"When it clicks 2pm without seeing her, I think we will leave and have to reschedule the meeting again" Eva said trying to lift the mood in the car.

"Reschedule?I don't have time for that I want this contract done with it today. I have other things to do,if not I will be pulling out my investment" Alice said seriously.

"No,no boss, you can't do that, she is my best friend what will she think of me. Let me call her, maybe she haven't seen the text"

Eva dialled her number and called but the phone was just ringing and directing her to call box. She tried one last time but the same thing happened. She was frustrated to look at her boss so she stopped out the car and approached the gardener who was trimming the flowers.

"Hello,by any chance do you know where your boss is? She is not picking my call" Eva said.

"I am sorry Ma'am, Madam left at night I heard that Sir Paul was admitted in the hospital" the gardener replied.

"Is that so, thank you" she said the returned to the car.

"I don't know why Carol didn't let me know that her son is admitted. But again she is not picking my calls how will I know where she is. She better not mess me around" she said to herself because her boss Alice was looking outside through the window. She was probably bored that she is wasting her precious time.

"I think we should leave, I can't waste another two hours waiting for someone who is not serious" she said as she started the car.

No sooner had she reversed her car, when she saw Mrs Wechuli's car driving in.

The first person Mrs Wechuli noticed was Mr Mukhongo, she instructed her driver to stop so that she can alight. She was about to ask Mr Mukhongo what he was doing there when Eva stepped outside the car too.

"Hey, where have you been? We have been waiting for you for closely two hour now"

"I was in the hospital checking on my son who was involved in the accident" she lied.

"I am sorry , but l thought he was beaten in the club, never mind. Where is your phone l have tried reaching you but you were not picking" Eva asked.

Mrs Wechuli was surprised with what Eva said. 'how did she know that my son was in the club. Was she involved in my son's beating?' she thought.

"Welcome, l am so sorry that l kept you waiting guys. I just realised that l have left my phone here since l left in a hurry" she said as she opened the main door to the house.

Alice, Eva and Mr Mukhongo walked in following each other in that sequence. She went upstairs and refreshed faster then changed clothes and come downstairs. She instructed the maids to bring orange juice and served the visitors.

"Actually Carol we don't want to take much of your time. We are here to rediscuss the contract, because following the press conference released yesterday, my boss here have some doubts about the company"

"Which doubts, the company is starting to pick up and I don't see any problem." She said wearily.

"Yes but we need to change some clauses" Eva fished out the documents from her hand bag and opened the clauses that have been changed and handed one to Mrs Wechuli and the other one to Mr Mukhongo.

"Wait the first contract stated that we will be sharing the profit 50/50, that's equally. How can you change to 45/55,  and my company cleaning your money. I will be at loss here" Mrs Wechuli enquired.

"I don't even understand how is the company supposed to clean theoney yet it's all about acting?"Mr Mukhongo asked.

Alice smiled and looked at Eva who smiled then looked at Mrs Wechuli, which Mr Mukhongo noticed.

"Dont worry you will understand when the company pick up or Carol (Mrs Wechuli) can explain to you letter what we need from you now is your signature and name" Alice said after noticing the anger in Mr Mukhongo's eye.

"I can't sign these one let's use the first contract please Eva" she pleaded.

"Then I am so sorry l will be pulling out my investment and remember I have you at my sleeve" Alice said politely.

Mrs Wechuli wanted to ask what she was saying but she was scared to hear something which might destroy the relationship she was have with Me Mukhongo and Eva, she composed herself then asked.

"What made you change the terms of the contract?" 

"Look, you might think that l am using blackmail to get you to sign it but that's not it. It's not Blackmail, it's the reality..."
