CHAPTER 194:UNDER CONTROL.

"Ivana,"Mish called her softly. "Mike asked me something about you not answering Paul's calls and messages. The thing is he doesn't know that I am living with you. So my worry is why is Paul interested in you, when he divorced you?"

"Mike told you that?" Ivana asked not surprised because she have been ignoring Paul's Calls, text messages, inboxed message on social media.

"Yes he said that Paul is worried about you, he had asked Mike to find out about you through me. That's the reason why Mike called me to ask me about you. "Mish explained.

"Okay don't worry, I think that man is confused, he is totally confused. He is the one who signed the divorce papers. If he was still interested in me then he should not have signed them. He is just a fool, next time tell Mike that you have never seen me." Ivana said quite seriously.

Mish looked at her worriedly then said, "I guess we need to go to bed now. I don't want you being fatigued and stressed at the same time.  I also need to sleep quite early I will be leaving very early in the morning for the company." Mish said.

Mish understood that Ivana was still angry and annoyed with the mention of Paul. Sometimes her hormones takes the best of her and tend to speak anyhowly.

She helped Ivana stand and up and held her back as they climbed the stairs. Milka was still in the kitchen washing the untesils.

Milla walked her to the room, put her to bed like a small baby. She reduced the brightness of the bed lamp then left her to sleep.

After Mike have ended the call with Mish Paul was waiting to hear what he had to say.

"What did she say? Have she seen her?" Paul asked anxiously.

"Yes she told me that she saw her in the morning. But Paul there is something you are not telling me." Mike said.

"What are you talking about, I told you the full truth Mike. I told you that I cheated with Slyvia on Ivana, I am not keeping anything from you. You are my friend help me connect with her." Paul said worriedly.

"No I am not talking about that, Mish told me that Ivana have everyright to ignore you because you know the reason behind it?" Mike asked.

"I know I hurt her, the only mistake I did was that I took time to apologise to her. I don't know how long it will take for her to forgive me." Paul said.

Mike just looked at him not knowing what to say. He had no idea,what Mish was talking about, he didn't know if there is something they doesn't know. The both of them, Mike and Paul.

"I guess I should just call Mum and ask her about Ivana perhaps, she promised to take care and check on her for me when I am away." Paul said as he picked his mobile phone and dialed Mrs Wechuli's number.

The first time he called her, she was not picking he wanted to give up but decided to call her for the second time after five minutes.

This time Miss Wechuli was just from the shower and saw her phone on she checked and realized that she had a missed call from her son. She wanted to dress up before calling him back, she was about to call him when her phone rung.

"I was about to call you son," she said before picking up the call.

"Hello son how are you doing," Mrs Wechuli said.

"I am fine mum, this is the first time I am talking to you since I labded here in Nigeria." Paul replied.

"I was wondering when you will be calling me, is like you forgot about me totally." Mrs Wechuli complained.

"Mum it's not that way, actually the environment here is so different so we are trying to adapt on it. Why didn't you call me instead?" Paul asked. Anyway mum how are you doing, how is the company doing?" He changed the flow of the story.

"The company is fine, it's doing fine I just launched it some few days ago and according to me it's a success." Mrs Wechuli replied.

"I am wishing you the best mum you deserve all the happiness. Mmmh mum have you checked on Ivana as you promised. I don't know but I just feel like there is something she is hiding from me." Paul informed his mother as he stood and walked away from Mike some few steps.

"Yeah, I have seen her today and she is quite well. She told me that she is...mmh well, doing fine, why? Why do you ask? Is everything alright?" Mrs Wechi lied to him as he asked.

"I was just asking you the way you had promised me that you will be checking on her when I am away. I don't want to lie to you mum, the thing is I just feel like she is hiding something from me from us."

"Something like what? Stop worrying about her Paul, She us fine as I told you. Will you please concentrate on your studies now that we have the company under my control." Mrs Wechuli retorted.

"Okay, worrying about her doesn't mean that I am not concentrating on my studies mum. I am just helping you keep your word as you had promised." 

"I understand son, so don't worry I will be checking on her for you." Mrs Wechuli said.

"Okay mum thank you. I have to go now, take care of yourself." He said then hunged up.

'Why should I waste my time checking on her, she has no benefit now. The company is under me, I won't mind if Paul returns with an Igbo or Yoruba or Hausa girl from Nigeria.' she thought as she climbed up her bed.

Paul walked back to where Mike was seating, atleast he was looking abit relaxed after talking to his mother.

"I can go to bed now that I know she is fine." Paul said to Mike.

"Okay mehn, goodnight."

"Goodnight."
