CHAPTER 219:CHILDREN'S HOME?

In the morning Ivana called Mish and told her that the three girls should not go to work on that day. So they were supposed to help other workers in the mansion with the chores around. 

Stacy as expected wanted to accompany Mish to the hospital,bit Mish told her that the only people Ivana wants in the hospital were the closed to her.

So Charo drove Mish to the hospital in the Maybach car. That car was to ferry Ivana from the hospital. So when they arrived in the hospital, everything was in the place. Sammy was already there in the hospital.

"I guess I am the late comer, good morning anyway," Mish greeted as she walked towards Ivana's bed.

"You are just right on time," Ivana replied.

"Should we start now?"Sammy asked.

"Yeah, for the sake of time we can start. I have already cleared the bill. So the only thing remaining was to take the body from the morgue." Ivana said.

"Are you coming with us in the morgue or you will wait for us in the car?" Mish asked.

"It's my baby Mish I am going to the morgue. Milka call Charo to come and help you with these. You will go with the baby and stay in the car," Ivana instructed.

"She was already changed to her clothes from the hospital uniform. The baby was all clean all thanks to Milka. Charo came in and took the luggage to the car. Ivana told him to go withilka and stay with them.

The three people,Ivana Sammy and Mish walked to the left wing of the hospital where the dead body of her baby was kept. She registered her name and doctor Masika showed her the casket of the baby. It was so small, the same size of milk carton.

She opened the casket and confirmed if indeed it was the baby. Although it was dead,the baby resemblance was similar to the other one. She believed that indeed her baby was dead. 

You know on some of the hospital there is a form of baby trafficking. Where when a woman gives birth to twins,one of the baby is normally taken away for trafficking then replaced with the dead body. Or sometimes the nurses and doctors tells you that the hospital had already disposed the dead babies. This was one of the reasons why Ivana wanted to bury her child. She have been hearing and reading on television and newspaper respectively the stories of child trafficking.

She didnt want her baby to be the victim too, so she closed the casket and wiped away the tears. The morgue attendant carried to the hospital hearse that Ivana had hired. Sammy supported Ivana by holding her hand. They all entered the herse and took off, that's after Sammy telling his driver to follow them together with Charo.

Ivana couldn't believe it, when doctor Masika told her that she was carrying twins, she was so happy to the extent of keeping it a secret. She never told anyone evenish who was her cousin or Milka who was her personal maid or nanny fr the age of sixteen. She wanted to surprise them when she gives birth, but she was the one who was surprised at the end. When her baby didn't survive.

She already found a solution on that, she have decided to adapt the baby that Milka told her about. Despite the fact that she is divorced, she want to make it happen by picking a dummy husband.

When they arrived at the cemetery, the grave diggers have already prepared the small grave. Just the way Ivana had instructed beside her father's grave. 

Milka was instructed to stay in the car with the baby, only Charo and Sammy's drive followed Ivana,Sammy and Mish and the people that were at the cemetery.

They lowered the casket in the grave and Ivana almost lost it as tears continued flowing down her cheeks. Sammy moved where she was and tapped her on the shoulders.  

When they finished pouring the soil on the grave, Ivana lit a candle and placed it on her babies grave. Then she said," Rest well my son."

She then turned and looked at her father's grave, she noticed a flower on the grave. She have never placed there that kind of flower, she just assumed and placed there a lit candle and said"Dad take care of my son in the next life" then started to walk away.

Mish, Charo, Sammy and his driver followed her behind. The cemetery guard wanted to talk to Ivana but when she realized that she was not there to visit her father but to bury her son. He restrained because there was no point of telling her about the woman and a young man he had spotted visiting her father's grave two times now.

When they arrived where they had parked the cars Ivana turned and looked at Sammy then said," I want you to take me somewhere."  

Sammy didn't ask her where, he just opened his car door and ushered her in. She called Milka who was carrying her baby to come in Sammy's car. 

"Ivana Charo will be driving me to work, I hope you will be fine with them," Mish said as she entered the car. She had no idea where Ivana was going, the only person who knows was Milka.

To Mish she thought that Ivana have asked Sammy to drive her back home as Charo takes her to the company. She didn't know that Ivana was going to children home to adapt a child.

So Charo drove away first then Sammy's car followed behind. When they arrived at the main road Sammy's driver started to drive slowly. He had no idea where he was supposed to take them. Sammy realized that and turned to Ivana to ask where she wanted to go.

"Sorry, can you take us to Home of peace children's home," she said.

"Children's home? Why? Do you want to give up your baby for adaption?" Sammy asked perplexed.

"No, just relax I  tell you when we arrived." She said then leaned on the back of the seat and closed her eyes.
