CHAPTER 230:ZERO EXPECTATIONS.

Maybe he was scared of you, you know sometimes back my dad used to fear mum whenever he is at wrong," Mish said.

"Really Mish, I am that person that can scare someone away? If I was that scary why did he cheat on me?," Ivana asked.

"I have no answer for that," Mish said.

"You know the day my lawyer called me to go and pick the divorce papers I though that I will find Paul in the office and maybe he tries to sweet talk me. Or maybe he would have returned the papers without signing them. I wish I had zero expectations maybe I wouldn't have hurt that badly," Ivana' explained.

"What if he is not the one who signed them?," Mish asked capturing the full attention from Ivana.

She stopped what she was doing as she looked at Mish straight in the eyes.

"Unless the divorce is issued in the court Ivana and the parties involved signs the papers in the presence of a judge or lawyer anything can happen," Mish explained.

"What are you insuanating Mish? Paul signed those papers, infact he put there his own rubber-stamp and Seal. To show that he was the one who signed them. Something else the lawyer that I involved is experienced one," Ivana explained.

"But I think Paul is such a fool, I can't imagine he cheated on you, the way you are perfect in every sector," Mish said jokingly.

"Hahaaa you are crazy, no one is perfect," Ivana replied.

"Okay my perfection is You have a killer figure, a beautiful smile, you are gorgeous. You have money and you can be an independent woman if you want. I mean in every sector you are blessed," Mish described.

"Maybe I am not good in bed that's why he cheated," Ivana said jokingly.

"For your information cheating is a choice and not an excuse so he just chose to cheat on you nothing can justify that," Mish said.

Ivana just smiled to herself and then said, "Can check if that rice us ready. I am famished, and again I want to go to bed early. I have a busy day tomorrow," Ivana told Mish.

After supper Milka and Ivana went to bed early leaving Mish who was watching a reality show.

Ivana remembered that she haven't informed Sammy about the christening and dedication. Ivana chose him to be the godfather to her babies because there was no other male figure that could have taken that position. At first it was Mike but he is not in the country.

So she decided to text him than calling him, then placed her cell phone on the table near her lamp.

Sammy was busy playing video game before going to bed when his phone vibrated. He paused the game and checked whoever has texted him. He smiled to himself when he saw a number that he had never deleted.

From Baby girl he read: "Kindly tomorrow I am going to christen and dedicated my babies and you are the godfather" that was the text from Ivana.

"Oh my baby girl are you giving me a signal to go a head and pursue you or what? I am still holding back myself on the accounts that you are married," Sammy said to himself.

'It have been long before I heard your voice, now that your husband is not around I will call you,' he thought as he placed a call.

Ivana was almost dozing off when a call came on her phone, she wanted to ignore it but remembered that it must be important for who ever was calling her to contact her at that time.

So she stretched her hand and picked the call without even checking who was calling. She thought that it might be from the mansion that's why she didn't care to check.

"Hello," she said sleepily.

"Hey baby girl you picked my call, I thought that you are going to ignore it," Sammy said.

Ivana was surprised to hear that voice, before her mind could process the owner of that voice. What came to her was to end the call, thinking that Paul was the one who have called her. She have been ignoring his call and text and dms on the social media accounts.

She sat straight on the bed as her heart raced at a speed, after three seconds the phone rang again. This time she checked who was calling. She sighed a relief when she saw that Sammy was the one calling. She knew right away that he was calling to confirm about the christening.

"Hey why did you end my call? You were surprised right?,

"Hello how are you," greeted without answering his first question.

"I am fine baby girl you texted me about christening and dedication tomorrow, why didn't you tell me earlier?

"Are you busy tomorrow? I will understand no problem it's just that I didn't think that it's such an important occasion to inform you earlier," she replied.

"It's not that way, ofcourse I won't miss that ocassion fo anything else on this earth. You know it's an honour to be both a father and and a godfather at the same time," he said.

"Woow you are a father already? I didn't know that, congratulations. When did your wife or rather girlfriend deliver? And what is the name of your baby? Ivana asked anxious.

Sammy wanted to burst into a laughter but held himself. He understood that Ivana didn't understand his message so he decided to tell him.

"He delivered a month ago, to two handsome boys and tomorrow is their christening," he replied.

Ivana smiled like a fool knowing that Sammy was trying to play with her mind.

"Are you available tomorrow?" She asked.

"Yes as I said I won't miss it, now that you have informed me as late as now, what do you want me to buy my sons?" 

"Haaaha stop it already, you are already claiming them?" Ivana asked 

"Yes Why not?" Sammy asked jokingly.

Ivana wanted to ask him why he was claiming then yet he was not their bilogical father. She remembered that she had adapted Mulongo together with Sammy so that makes him father legally.
