"Mish, I understand the situation you were in that time. That's why I never took your accusations seriously. I knew that the truth will come out one day and you will know what really caused her death. I am sorry that I didn't defend myself enough to make you think straight."
"Does that mean that you have forgiven me?" Mish asked as she pulled away from the hug.
"What are you saying? I never carried you in my heart. You are my sister and I can't be angry at you, yes I forgave you and I forgive you now," Ivana replied as she pitched her cheeks slightly.
"Smile now I want to see those dipples," Ivana said as Mish blushed.
After her taxi have left Mr Mukhongo's gate. Mrs Wechuli instructed the driver to take her to her home. She wanted to search something and make sure that indeed she doesn't have them so that she can find a suitable solution to her problem before she run out of time.
Upon arrival in her home she paid the taxi man then hurriedly walked in. The workers were surprised to see her back at home at that time. No one dared to ask her unless he or she wants to be fired.
'I hope I have those papers with me, I will have the power of the attorney to be the CEO of the company,' She thought as she walked to her room.
She rummage through her drawers and the wardrobe but she didn't see anything. The entire body was trembling as she continued searching.
'What was I thinking when I left the gun to his house and informed the police about it? I am really doomed,' she thought as she was outrageous. 'I can't believe that I messed myself up, how will I convice him that I was not the person who did that to him,' she continued pushing and throwing away all the things that were in front of her.
"I am really stupid!, stupid me!, stupid!" She shouted to herself as she throws things away. Nothing could have calmed her down at that time. She acted out of emotions by telling the police about the gun. That was the only bargaining power that she had over Mr Mukhongo.
She knew that Mr Mukhongo doesn't have those legal documents neither have he told her where he had lost them or the person he have given for safe keeping. She had threaten him at once that she will hand the gun to the police if he doesn't bring the legal documents to her. She had thought that by that threat she will receive those documents.
She was surprised that the threat didn't work on him, because he never brought them to her. That's when she carried out her plan B. She was surprised that she actually acted out of emotions by directing the police to the place she had left the gun in Mr Mukhongo's wardrobe.
She took her Rendez Vous apple wine as she sat at the couch in her messy looking room. She poured herself and started to drink so that she can bury those thoughts away but it was not working, as they kept coming back.
"What will I do now to get myself out of this mess? I know that, that man won't go down alone!" She murmured to herself. Then "Perfect" she said as she walked to where she have left her purse and took her cellphone as she dialed a certain number.
The mobile phone rang three times before it was picked.
"Hello officer," she said.
"Hello ma'am who am I speaking to?"
"Ca..n can I talk to inspector of the police?" She said as her voice trembled.
"Just a minute ma'am,"the officer said.
"Inspector of the police on the line," a manly voice said after two seconds.
"Sir it..it's something that had just happened some hours ago. Their is a man that have been brought in the Milimani station right now," she started.
"Yes,
"Sir, that man is innocent he was framed, he didn't kill his wife," Mrs Wechuli said.
"Okay, how do you know he was framed?"
"Mmh ...you know officer,....sir the thing is, he is innocent, he is my friend and I know him. He is not capable of killing his wife. He is a nice man officer,I am telling you the truth."
"Okay ma'am do you have any evidence to what you are talking about? You can come here in court after three day and give that evidence. We won't base on testimonies without evidence," the officer said.
Mr Wechuli ended the call because she didn't have any evidencebthat will support what she was saying. She wanted to tell the police officer if they could talk like 'grown up people' but she didn't want to put herself in several predicament that she won't be able to save herself.
"What do I do now, even if I decide to bribe them, I don't have alot of Cash to do that. Why didn't I think before doing that," she talked to herself as she stared into the space without knowing what to do next.
She gulped down the remaining wine then picked her cellphone and her purse. Locked the door then walked out of the compound hurriedly. She didn't want to drive herself to whichever place she was going because she had taken a good amount of wine that can make her drive recklessly on the road.
Her driver was still in the company with her car, she was in hurry and didn't want to call him to come take her to the place she wanted to go. She stood outside the gate for a few minutes before a taxi pulled over to where she was.
"Hello ma'am do you need my services?" The taxi driver asked.
She didn't say anything to him as she opened the door and sat in.
"Where to ma'am?"
"Just drive me to any destination you want,"she replied.
