Happiness

“I will get her to like me,” Christian assured.

John put his hand in his pocket with his thumb hanging out.

“Alright suit yourself.” John scoffed walking away and Christian put his hand on the shoulder of his friends and started whispering in their ear.

                                                       Steve’s POV

After a lot of pleading, Rachael finally gave me her hand and I struggle to pull her up through clenched teeth, I started pulling her up the window and she was almost in the house when I pull her with all my strength and we both landed on the floor next to each other.

I sit on the floor, staring at my hand which is now red, my back hurt too.

I look at Rachael and she smiles widely at me and jumps into my hands hugging me tightly.

With her breast pressing against my chest, I was having a tingling sensation everywhere. I didn’t know how to react so I hugged her back with my hand wrapped around her, she must be so happy that I saved her.

She disengaged from the hug and kiss me on the cheek, with her soft lips, I have kissed her but this one feels strange because it was coming from her I didn't know when my face started to get red, I just want to have her in my hands and kiss her passionately, I think the kids didn’t mean anything to her, I thought looking at her she was blushing and avoiding my gaze.

“Thank you for saving me from those people.” She mumbled looking down.

“You are welcome,” I muttered touching my cheek as I stand up from the floor.

“I am hungry.” She started stroking her hair back shyly.         

If I tell Rachael about what those people say, what will be her reaction, I don’t want her to get worried, I will tell my parents first.

“Let’s go down the family will be here soon,” I started walking out of the room with the dog running after me.

I forget to feed him because of the whole thing, maybe that’s one of the reasons it’s following me around.

I walk to my room and the dog followed me,  I open the drawer and take out dog food and the stand started barking and jumping over me.

I walk to his plate and pour the food in it and she started eating. I was right he is hungry.

I put the remaining snack in my drawer and walk out of the room.

I walk downstairs and see Lily and Rachael talking on the couch where did Lily go all day, I know she didn’t go to the hospital with my mum.

“Lily where did you go?” I inquired when she give me a toothy smile.

“I went to grandpa’s place with mum.” She replied and I started looking at the entrance

“Where is mum?” I  ask bluntly.

“The driver brought me home, I don’t think mum is coming home today.” She muttered

“Why isn't she coming?” I inquired.
