Chapter 36

Reddy grumbled under his breath, but made no move to stand from his chair.

Others are already searching for a partner, and we three are still sitting on our chairs as if we're the panel of judges for this competition.

Kwofo(I didn't see them when he walked in, I thought he left school for good today) have found a beautiful vampire as a partner.

That's it.

He has already found a partner, and here I am partner less, I have to make a move else the good ones will all be taken.

Blondie and Reddy can pair since they both seem to get along better.

I made a move to stand, “where are you going to?”, Blondie held my wrist.

“To… to find a partner, of course!” I hoped my nervousness wouldn't be noticeable.

“ Why will you do that?” Blondie might be handsome, I concur, but he lacks what we call wisdom.

I rolled my eyes, “because we were asked to”, I made a gesture at those busily sorting for partners.

“Why do you need another partner? Aren't you okay with me and Reddy?” he gave me a confused look.

I was lost for words *whenever people make use of expressions like this, I will think they're just saying it to talk, now was the first time I've had such experiences* at his outburst or whatever you might have called it.

“You mean I”, I pointed at myself, “be your partner?” I asked Blondie.

He shook his head, “am not your only partner Reddy is, he's the completion of our group the three musketeers”, he winked," we're here to save the day”.

I laughed at that, Blondie finds ways to make an unfunny thing funny.

“Are you sure you two want me as a partner? I mean, she said it's only two species per group. I can still find another Blondie here”, I pointed at the back, there have to be others that haven't gotten a partner yet.

He frowned, “why will you need another Blondie?”, he made a come here gesture.

I moved closer to him, “sit, we can be three. There's nothing wrong in it, if she doesn't like it, she can go to Ime Ala (werewolves' version of hellfire) for all I care”, he tugged me down on the chair I was previously occupying.

“We three are the head princes of Makoha, she's our subjects, and anything we say is what she will do.

Here in this school we're above most of the laws and teachers except the elders, those are high above us”, Blondie playfully shoved me,” isn't it true Blacky?”.

I smiled, nodding, “it is”.

Reddy gave the two of us a glare, “shut the Imirimiri (the vampires' version of hellfire) up”, he narrowed his eyes to a slit, "you two can find another partner, am not interested”, he said matter-of-factly.

His words made me feel like I was intruding on his personal space.

I don't blame him.

Every time, and I mean every time I happen to be in their midst.

I will always be in the middle of Reddy and Blondie.
