Chapter 83

"That sounds like a fairytale", I laughed, "you can't possibly expect me to believe this lies you're spotting

. A child won't even believe you talk more of a grown up like me", u smiled, " you really need to brush up your skills if you want me to believe all you're saying".

I've never heard a lie this expertly told, the lies were almost too good to be seen as false, the way he wove the lies making them entangle with each other was like none I've ever seen nor had the experience of before.

He frowned, " why should I lie of the thing that's the truth?", he was acting really confused that I thought he might be telling the truth.

"Tell me this Happy, if what you're saying is the truth, why haven't I heard of it growing up?, why was it kept a secret?", the truth can never be hidden from the open.

"The history was banned from being told, the king's had an agreement to seal it till the choosen one is born", Happy smiled sadly, " although I don't think that will be possible since the year the choosen one was prophesied to be born have pass".

I looked at the black swirling mist, it was standing still as if waiting for a verdict to be passed on it.

"Since it's only destined for one to release it, then it won't be of harm if I touch it?", I don't know what it is about the dark swirl, but it seems to be calling out to me.

The call was stronger than I've ever felt, it's stillness added to the chilling sensations.

Happy shivered like one with a cold; looking puzzled at me he asked, "don't you feel the cold?", he asked shivering the more.

"The cold?, which cold?", I looked at him with a confused expression, I wasn't feeling the cold, all I felt was a cooling sensation on my skin nothing more than that.

"How is it you don't feel the cold?", his teeth chattering as he asked the question.

"I don't feel the cold you're talking about, all I feel is a sharp cooling sensation on my skin", I showed him my arms devoid of goosebumps that normally mars a person's skin during a cold as the one he's talking about.

He took steps back, keeping a wide berth between him and the book, the more steps he takes back, the more he stops shivering.

The book must have been the cause of the cold he was talking about.

Taking a step back from the book, I noticed the farther I walk back, the lesser the cooling sensation is.

"Strange", I muttered under my breath; what Happy is saying might be the truth, if it's really the truth then nothing will happen to me when I touch the book.

He's just trying to spook me, maybe their insanity poison didn't work as they expected it to, on me.

The tale is nuts like the little kid's fairytale.
