Chapter 88

I never for one thought, nor envisioned myself dieing in the hands of a monster.

Hope sprang when I heard the words he said about not perceiving any power from me; hopefully he will let me live after he must have seen I have no power whatsoever to speak of.

"Like I said earlier, am not the destined one; releasing you might have been a coincidence. You yourself said you perceived no power from me; am a powerless prince, one who doesn't have any hope of gaining his powers; it's lost and will remain lost", I sighed.

it's true am trying to get his mind off from the thoughts of killing me, but most of the things 9I said, I really meant them, every single one of them.

He shook his head, "your powers may have not been unleashed as of now, but it didn't mean you won't get it someday, the power swirling around you is too strong to be ignored", he said with a sadistic look on his face, "I better get rid of the threat now before you grow too powerful to be defeated; as powerful as was prophesied for you", he looked at me with a look of determination.

Guess his mind is set on carrying out his evil plans; I knew I can't convince him, but I was waiting, and hoping for a miracle.

In a situation as this, a miracle is the only thing that can save you.

I've never seen a face as scary and evil looking as this beast, it's prison was clearly meant for him and his likes.

I must have taken too long in thinking of questions to ask since he charged towards me with a look of a beast aiming for the kill of its prey.

"Wait, am not true", I smiled conniving, "at least since am going to die, the least you can do for their poor soul is to tell him of things he haven't heard of; things only a wise ancient magician like you is the only one privy of", spooking his ego will make him more willing to talk, and when he's engaged in a conversation, he forgets all thoughts of my murder.

He smiled, "it's good you're embracing your murder; I promise I will make it as least painful as I can", he flicked his fingers, and a dark swirling mist like the one hovering at tip his head appeared.

The only difference between it and the hovering one was the spark the one on his finger had, it was sparking like when two negatives are joined. The spark it gives at the wrong connection.

My already accelerated heart beat was now beating faster than humanly possible; if care isn't taken it might beat out of my chest.

"You know Ajummuo", I began clearing my throat to make his entire attention focus in me, and what I have to say( not that it's important; it's not, I just want to bid more time, who knows if the teacher that escorted me here will come for my rescue).
