Chapter 95

Wiping the sweat he continued to chant; as e continued mumbling whatever words he was.

His hands moved in sync to whatever he's saying; it goes up most times, and comes down or roves in circle most of the time.

Clicking his tongue, he closed his eyes as he concentrated; you can see the strain on his face as he turned his body towards the monster who was in a tight lock with Blondie.

"Now!", Reddy shouted; Blondie threw the monster towards the bookshelf.

The moment he hit the wood, he disappeared in a dark mist returning back to the book it came out from.

Reddy slumped down on the floor; his face whiter and paler than snow.

Rushing towards him, Blondie caught him before he can completely fall on his back.

All the while I was looking at the sight before me, more confused than ever.

What in the gods' name just happened just now?, a question I asked no one; expecting the answer to it.

"Phew, that was one shell of a banishing", Blondie wiped imaginary sweat off his brow.

I snapped out of question land as I looked around at the scene of the fight ( that's what it will be called right?), done of the books where upturned, the tables had one leg missing from them.

The book shelve looks like a child's play thing; on word for the entire room is chaos.

"How did you two know to come here?", out if all the questions roaming on my mind, this was the one I thought to ask first.

Reddy and Blondie shared a glance; shrugging Blondie looked at me, "we felt the need to visit the humans in their magic classes. It fun watching them as they practice on whatever magic they're specializing on".

I don't know why, but I feel like that's not exactly the reason why they're here; it can't be that right?, it should be more.

There's more to their presence than meets the eye; who am I to complain I their presence gave me a chance to live?, what would I have done if I died in the hands of the monster.

"What did you do to the monster?", I asked Reddy, my eyes focused on the book with the dark swirling mist.

"I cast a banishing spell on it; it won't hold him like the ancient human magical practitioners spell did, but it will hold him nonetheless", he looked straight at me, " the spell won't hold him like the others did, only releasing him through the hands of the destined.

This time it will be released when touched by anyone no matter how small the person's powers may be; it will be released with just a tap", he grinned.

I shivered at his words, " does that mean it will be released even if a person mistakenly touches it?", a spell can't be a that flexible can it?.

He nodded his head, "no matter the reason for the touch, Ajummuo will be released from it's prison".
