Chapter 162

Everyone rushed towards the door like all Okumu was after them. I don't really blame them, all Okumu was really and truly after us..

My new neighbor, one who I know nothing about( I just recently met him as the lights flicked out), held me tightly, as I f afraid I might bolt without him.

"You might kill me based on how tightly you're gripping my arms", I gave his invisible darkness blocking arms a glare; one I know he won't be able to see based on the total darkness covering the entire place.

"Just shut up and lead me safely out. My dad will handsomely reward you for saving his only heir", my partner said, still tightly gripping on to my arm.

"And who might you be?", I raised my brow up at him. One thing is sure, he's human, and only the human prince's are considered important.

" Am high prince Buchim Igali Dochie Alpparex", he proudly said, making me try so hard to stifle my laughter at his words.

How will he react if am to tell him am the high prince he's pretending to be? I can't wait to see the look of both horror and disbelief etched on his face.

"Forgive me my high prince. I don't know such distinguished a figure", I rolled my eyes at him.

He huffed, " now you know you have to handle me with care you peasant. Am a distinguished figure", he kept talking about being the most important person in all Ugali.

And I was busy trying to steer us towards a safe side, away from the scampering people. My life is more important than blindly seeking for the door and risk being stamped on others.

All I need to do is return to the table we were eating in before, if we return their we will have to wait it all out.

"Why aren't you moving with others"my neighbor asked as I moved away from the direction, the pushing people were rushing to.

"And die in the stampede? thank you very much", I rolled my eyes as if he can see me.

"I told you to get me to safety and you're taking me towards a place I know nothing of", he tried to stop me " let's follow the others that way...."

Another boom made him stop his speech in fright; the book this time rattled the door.

"The door is locked from the outside!", I heard a girl exclaim ( figures it will be the girls who will reach there before the boys. Girls doesn't look back in trying to safe themselves).

"Oh damn the door is locked? how did they expect us to survive in this darkn for long?", my noisy neighbor laments.

I chuckled despite the trouble we're in, "you know, you talk nothing like a royalty", I give him an amused smile; one he couldn't see based on the darkness.

He might confess about not being royalty, the run for survival is over since the door we were all going to escape through is Locked.
