Chapter 229

"Why are you acting all dull and quiet today?", Kwofo asked as we walked to the dinning hall.

I forced a smile, "I just don't feel like attending classes today, but I know you won't allow me to stay behind today".

I said those words hoping he will ask me to stay back like I wished.

He smiles, " that's what school is all about Buch. No one likes attending classes, but they have to in order to ensure a bright future".

I scoffed at his words, " a bright future you say?" I shrug, "I don't actually need that since am going to be the king when my father dies. My future is already secured".

He sighs, " suit yourself Buch, all I know is you're attending classes, and that's all", he quickens his pace, " walk fast, I don't want to be too late for Breakfast. Am already late from waiting for your lazy arse to get ready for class".

Blondie and Reddy were already eating when I sat down on my sit, and like yesterday, they didn't acknowledge my presence.

Blondie's hair is one messy one( I don't think he washed it talk more of combing it this morning) while Reddy's always perfect hair is carelessly gelled back, his jaw taunt.

I looked at the two of them, but they pretended not to notice my unwavering stare at them, each busy with his own breakfast.

"You look like trash this morning", Aiana says to me but her focus is on bother Reddy and Blondie, "why do I get the feeling you three are back to your quarreling stage?", she gives us a curious look.

" Have anyone told you you don't mind your business?", I narrow my eyes at her.

" I've always told her that countless of times yet she doesn't seem to listen", Meemee chipped in.

Out of all the occupants of their table, Meemee and Aiana are the only ones who engage us in conversations. The rest cowers within themselves.

Aiana rolls her eyes, "am just looking out for them, I don't care what you say".

Blondie stands all of a sudden, " am Leaving", he says to no one in particular, " let's go".

My heart skipped a beat at his words; is he finally talking to me?

I smiled as I stood up, until I noticed his focus isn't on me but in Reddy who stood when he saw me looking at him, "let's go".

The two walked out the dinning room while I slumped back on the chair I stood up from.

"You three sure know how to quarrel", Aiana rolls her eyes, "I've not seen you three being friendly for more than two days in a stretch. One way or the other you find ways to disagree on things".

i stand from the chair, " it was really nice having breakfast with you Aiana, I will take my leave", I left her before she can further comment on things.

"Hi" the cause of our disagreement last night smiled at me.
