Am well aware they're not humans based on the animalistic mark that covered my entire body, leaving only my neck, arms and feet uncovered.

The dragon covers the entire right part of my body while the fierce looking wolf covers the left side, their knuckles meeting on my stomach.

Turning, I can see the place where their tail meets; the two animals seems to be in a form of agreement.

I can't afford to be seen with this forbidden marks. I won't see the light of the day if am discovered, my life will cease if the council of elders get to discover there's a law breaker among us.

"Oh father", I groaned, "what have I done to deserve this?", I lightly banged my head on the wall.

"Blacky, what's wrong? open up", I felt them tugging on the door, and I know it wouldn't be long before they break open the door.

"The marks are beautiful", stupid Blacky whispers.

I glare at myself in the mirror, "wait till you get hanged before you know how beautiful the society thinks your mark is", I admonish the stupid Blacky whose too stupid to know we're in deep shit.

"Are you okay?", Blondie asked the moment I opened the door, " you look Ill", he made to touch my forehead, but I dodged to make sure his hand doesn't touch me.

Am afraid he might see my mark if he so much as touch me.

"Happy birthday", Reddy hugs me from behind causing me to freeze, "are you ready to show us your mark?", he whispers, his breathe sending shivers down my spine.

Get a grip in yourself Blacky, you don't need to be feeling anything while carrying another people's marks on your body.

"I don't have any mark", I tried to shrug but it was difficult because of Reddy's heavy body on me, " I guess I don't have a helper", I lied through my teeth; praying they don't catch up to my lies.

Blondie's hopeful expression turned sour when he heard my words, "what do you mean by you don't have a helper's mark?", he asked me, but his looks ate directed at Reddy.

"I wasn't fortunate enough to be gifted with a mating mark", I remove myself from Reddy's grip, " I will like it if you don't ask me about it", I said before I walked out of the room leaving the two of them inside there.

"What if they're your helpers?", that same stupid voice spoke up,

" they're not, why will you think they're my helpers when they talked about having only mates and half soul?", I asked the voice.

" Blacky wait", Blondie caught up with me before I can completely open the door.

I stood there waiting for him to catch up.
