"You don't have to worry about anything Buch. How did they take the news of you not having a mark? ", Kwofo asks.
" They look hurt enough", I can vividly recall the look Blondie had on his face when I told them I wasn't gifted with a mark.
" That means they don't see it as anything but the gift it is", he smiles, " you have to embrace the joys, stop thinking of the negativity, think if it's positivity".
" How do you propose I do that? ", I looked at him in confusion.
He motions for me to lean in, and when I did, he whispered something that made me blush in embarrassment in my ears.
"I can't do that", I shake my head, "it's too embarrassing to do that", I can't afford to even think of it.
"You either do that or you forget about having your mates with you", he shrugs.
"When should I do that?", I asked him already making up my mind to do what he asked me to do.
He shrugs, "you decide about that, for now let's go for breakfast", he walks into his bathroom and comes out fully dressed for breakfast.
His traditional apa making him look more like a regal prince than an aide.
"looking between us now, one will think you're the prince, and I the aide", I raise a brow.
" You can think what you want", he opens the door for me to leave before him,
" Blacky", Blondie called out to me when I walked out of the room, but I ignored him.
"Blacky", Reddy called out, but I also ignored him.
"Am afraid he doesn't want to talk to the both of you", Kwofo gives them a look, " he needs time to sort things out, and you two being in close proximity with him wouldn't help him do that", Kwofo blocks their view of me.
" We just want to talk to you", Reddy tries again, " please Blacky".
I've not heard Reddy beg this way; Blondie begs all the time but not Reddy.
" I don't want to talk to you", I took hold of Kwofo's hand and dragged him to breakfast.
"Slow down Buch, you're walking too fast for my tired self", Kwofo complained.
" You either shut up and walk or I will carry you there".
As if I can carry him even if I tried, he looks too heavy for me to contemplate carrying him.
"I've missed this side of you", he sighs, "but seriously Buch, you've got to slow down", he says again.
" Why are you suddenly acting like a baby?", I glare at him.
" Just slow down okay?",
" okay", I agreed before I saw Blondie and Reddy close behind us.
"Let's go", I said as I speedily dragged him into the dinning hall.
"I don't want to ever be involved with you three", Kwofo gives me a disappoinment look, "you all act like little children most times".
" Thanks for the compliment dear, see you later today", I walked towards our table where an impatient Aiana is already waiting for me.
