I roll my eyes at his words, "one day, you will grow tired of having me a a friend, and that's when your regret will start".

" I don't think that will ever happen. I rather have you as my only friend than have a wolf and vampire as friends".

I must have slept after that, because the next time I opened my eyes, it was to the sight of my father's smiling face.

"Son!", he envelops me in a bone crushing hug, " I really missed you. This palace wasn't the same without your bubbling spirit to cheer it up".

"Father", I urgently slapped his back, "You're about to crush your only son".

"Oh sorry", he releases me on embarrassment, "am too overwhelmed from your visit. It have been moons without you; long boring moons".

I smile at that, Father's not the type to openly show his affections, and for him to show them now it means he truly did miss me.

" Am back now aren't I father? and I will stay here for two Izu Ukas", I smile in reassurance.

" It's still not the same as having you always with us!", he exclaims, " I was the one who asked you to attend the academy despite your refusal to go there, but now am thinking of a way to get you to stay here with me without leaving again".

I don't regret ever going to the academy, because without it, I wouldn't have met my two handsome Mates who adore me.
