"I know you really want to rest your aching feet," Blondie pecked my head "I know you're tired from all these walking. The baby needs to rest. I bet she's currently glaring at her fathers."
" Don't worry about helping us Blacky. It's out duty as your mates to take really care of you." He gently made me sit my aching self on the makeshift bed Blondie made for me.
" Stay here till we're through with the hut, then you can rest. "
" But I can't afford sitting here while the girls work, " I protested while inwardly sighing in bliss.
Gods please help me. Don't allow them to agree to my words.
"They're not in the same condition as you're in now. Don't worry they won't fault you," Blondie smiled at me.
"You can snack on the biscuit Kwofo gave to you, or better still eat the remaining dry meat if you're hungry. We're going now,"Reddy stood up just as Blondie did, and together they walked towards the waiting girls.
"I've never seen someone as lazy as our kid brother. He's always lazing his days around. I blame nother for spoiling him rotten," Ije said in exaggeration.
I guess she said those words in case there happens to be anyone eavesdropping nearby.
"You spoil me more than she ever have," I lay back on my bed.

They worked for a long time, and I who was just a spectator got tired from watching them washing and tidying the rooms.
The girls were the ones getting the water while my mates washed the entire room.
Watching them diligently working to make the rooms habitable made me a bit guilty, but I tampered my guilt down when I remembered how pregnant I am.
There's a perk to being pregnant after all.
I took one of the sealed cookies from the bag, and slowly nipped on the biscuit.
Eating it chased the hunger off of me, and made me unable to doze off while watching them.
I felt like sleeping as they work is a crime. Being awake is somehow much more better than sleeping while they relentlessly worked.
Sleeping will make me look more lazy than I am.
A noise behind me made me turn back to see who it was that's making those noises, but I don't see anything out of the ordinary behind me.
I look behind me when the noise became more prominent, and caught a little toddler trying to hide behind the large tree.
"Hi," I smile at him.
He widened his eyes when he saw me looking at him.
"What's your name?" I continued smiling at the him to make him know I mean him no harm.
He blinked at me.
"You can come out now. I've seen you," I wave for him to come from his hiding place.
Who are you talking to?
Reddy curiously asked.
His voice holds no venom.
A little harmless boy who happened to meet me here, but is reluctant to come out from his hiding place.
