The others were waiting for us when we arrived.
"Buchim!" the little Buchim ran to me, and held my hand in his.
"How is my favourite boy in the entire world?" I smiled as I ruffled his hair.
I hope you don't mean your words?
Reddy asked in a clipped voice.
I can't believe you're jealous of a little boy.
I scoffed to tell him exactly what I thought of his jealousy.
"Come sit with us," he tugs me to the place the other children were sitting in a round circle. While Blondie who was obviously not invited with me walked back to the place he was sitting on before he came to call me.
"Make room for him," he says in a commanding voice.
The others made room for us to sit, and I say with him.
I looked around at the gawking villagers before I locked eyes with Reddy who I know isn't happy of my decision.
The villagers were sitting in a round circle while Blondie and the others sat in a separate circle.
I guess they did that because of their lack of trust in us. That will explain why they're surprised I sat with the kids.
"This is the person I was telling you about," Buchim started narrating made up tales of how we met, and the other children listened to him in rapt attention.
"Here's yours," Buchim's mother placed my food in front of me, my water by the side.
"Thank you," I smiled at her.
"It's my pleasure," she smiled before ruffling Buchim's hair.
"Don't do that mother," he frowned at her. His mouth upturned in displeasure.
"You didn't complain when he," she points at me "did the same to you," she rolled her eyes.
"He's the only one who can do that, you're not allowed to do so!" he looks exactly like the stubborn boy he is.
Chuckling to herself the mother returned to the others while Buchim continued telling tales of how I defeated a big demon.
I slowly ate my food ( one that was surprisingly sweet) as I listened to Buchim's tales.
He sure knows exactly how to tell a story. I almost believed all those things he was talking about really happened to me.
"Brother," the small girl sitting next to me shook me.
"What is it?" I smiled at her.
"Can you teach me how to fight? i want to know how to fight so I can beat Tata whenever he makes me cry."
" What did I do?" one of the boys that was listening in on the tale asked.
" I guess you're Tata?" I raised a brow at him.
" He's the one!" the little girl frowned at him " he always does things to make me cry."
"It's okay," I consoled the sobbing girl " I will teach you how to make him cry like he did you okay?"
She looked up at me with those cute eyes, one I can't say no to even of I tried " you will teach me to be like you?"
