Chapter 402

He took a little bite from the biscuit in his hand, and his face became awash with joy "it's sweet," he smiled, and that was when I noticed the gap in his teeth.

"Where's your tooth?" I peer curiously at his mouth. How come his teeth aren't complete?

"Oh this?" he points at the whole a tooth is supposed to be in "mom said it will fully grow back to how it when I grow."

His words got me thinking.

Was there a time I had this sort of gap in my teeth?

I can't seem to remember.

"Is that true?" am still skeptical to believe his tooth will grow back after it was knocked down.

"You see this one?" he points to one of his tooth "there was a time it fell off, but now it have grown back. Mother said is a sort of growing up."

That means a fallen tooth can grow back together?

If am to remove one of my tooth, will it grow back to its former size?

I and the boy sat chatting and eating biscuits while the others worked, until the mother who was looking for her son saw us sitting on the blanket.

"Oh," she rushed towards us "am sorry dear sir. It just happens my son isn't one to obey instructions. Am sorry if he caused you any problem. He sure doesn't do anything he's asked to do, preferring to do what he's warned about."

"Mother!" the boy buried his head on my clothes, his cheeks pink in embarrassment.

"Buchim!" the mother looked panicked.

Meanwhile, my mates who were working, stopped when they heard my name. Their gazes directly placed on the woman who's currently looking at her son with a surprised expression.

"It's nothing ma," I smiled at her "Buchim is the most behaved boy I've ever met. He was just teaching me how a fallen tooth can grow back."

The mother relaxed a bit when she noticed I wasn't angry at all with her soon who's still hiding his face in my shirt.

"You're different," she smiled at me "most people complain of his carefree ways. You're the only one I've met who doesn't seem faze by his brazen manners."

" That's because he've found a mirror. Your son is yeh exact replica of our kid brother when he was small," Ije smiled at her.

It's of no doubts my mates were the ones who sent her here.

They might be really concerned about me to send her here.

"Head disciple," the woman bowed lowly to Ije "am sorry if my son caused you any problem."

She apologizes, her face towards the earth as if afraid of looking directly at Ije.

"There's nothing to apologize about ma. We're really grateful to your son for keeping our troublesome kid brother company. I doubt he would have stayed at a place if not for your kind little son who thought to keep him company."

If not for one thing, I wouldn't have sat here listening to her talk of me as if am a troublesome person.
