We've been in the town for more than two weeks, and by far, there have been no news of the vampires and werewolves. Everything was peaceful and calm.
I've made more friends so far, and the villagers have been receptive towards me.
They no longer treat us like the did during the first week. It seems they've gotten used to our presence.
"Buch," Blondie shook me.
"Am tired," I sighed. For two days or so now, I've been feeling really weak. Most morning I will feel really sick, but none can deduce exactly what's wrong with me.
"Are you still feeling sick? should I go get the village healer?" Blondie looked panicked. His face looking more older than it was when we were still at the Academy.
An Academy that seems like it was thousands of years ago.
"No," I frantically shake my head.
Involving the village healer isn't the best way to do things in case they find out about my pregnancy.
How can we be able to fully hide my pregnancy if the healer I involved?
It wouldn't take him time to discover my pregnancy.
"What then should we do?"
"Call Ije. She will know what's wrong with me."
I once overheard the others girls talking about Ije's strange powers of healing.
"Ije? why do you want me to get her?" Blondie looked real skeptical.
His expression made me almost laugh. You wouldn't have thought he was the same person who was asking me on what he will do.
"Get her," I manged to say.
Tightly clutching my blanket to me despite how hot my body feels.
"Okay. I will get her," Blondie leaves to do as I asked leaving me to my thoughts.
Just what is wrong with me?
Why am I suddenly getting sick?
Is it because of the environment change?
Could that be the reason for the change in my body?
"Buch?" Ije walked in, and motioned for Blondie to go out.
"Why are you asking me to leave my mate's side? what are you planning on doing to him?" Blondie had his hands folded.
A frown etched on his face as he glared at Ije who have an unyielding look on his face.
"It's either you leave or I do. The choice is all yours to make," she made to stand.
"It's okay. I will leave, but know if anything happens to him you will pay more than the prize."
He stomped out of the room. His displeasure clearly showing in his face.
"What exactly is wrong with you Buch?" Ije placed a hand on my head but hastily removed it because of how hot it is "you're having a fever?"
"It's getting worse as the day goes by."
The sickness started with constant sleeping before it morphed into this, and the funny part is it only happens in the morning.
As the sun fully rises in the horizon the sickness will mysteriously disappear just to reappear in the morning.
It seems more like magic than an illness.
