The people of the town were reluctant to let us go. They begged us to stay till the vampires and werewolves have passed but we refused.
Staying here till the arrive is the same thing as bringing more problems than necessary for the kind people of this town who took us in when we were in need.
Bringing trouble to them is the worst thing we can do for them. We can't repay good with evil.
Out of the goodness of their hearts did they take us in. It's only left for us to repay them as they have done to us.
"Buch, don't go," Buchim tightly held on to my hand. " If you leave, I will cry." He looked up at me " Do you want me to cry?" he pouts like the little boy he is.
"Of course not! Buchim is a big boy, and grown up boys don't cry. It will make you look like a female." I Frowned.
"A female!" he widened his eyes either in shock or fear "I can't be a female. I can't be like Sommy who cries all the time especially when the father goes for hunt."
I smile at his words " that's why I don't want you to cry when I leave. I don't want you to be like Sommy. " I lightly pinched his cheeks.
The chief obviously seeing how serious we are about leaving wasn't at all happy about it, but he had no say in the matter.
Our mind have already been made up.
We need to leave before the vampires and wolves gets hold of us.
"If you permit us, we will prepare a little something for you to go back with. Please don't deny us."
" Okay my chief. We won't do so, but be informed we will leave at the first appearance of the sun in the horizon, that way we can get to the mountains before night fall."
Ije bowed to him before she turned to equally bow at the ones sitting on the floor.
Dinner was very dull. No one Made a noise, not even the children who are find of telling stories during dinner.
The entire atmosphere was heavy. The looks on their faces like that of a parents whose children are going to join the war.

"This is for you. I made the coat from the best Apa on our town," the shy looking girl who questioned me the first night said as she gave me a very fine looking jacket.
One that's very thick I bet it wads out cold.
"Thank you," I smiled at her "I will cherish this for all of eternity."
I don't think I will ever forget this town till I die.
Their good deeds towards us won't be forgotten.
"Are you sure you don't want me to accompany you? I won't mind visiting the mountains. I've always wanted to go there but couldn't. "
She've been begging to follow us to the mountains, but Ije refused. Not only because we're not going to the mountains but because of how dangerous our journey will be.
