CHAPTER 41: ABOUT EVE (2).

"My parents are dead....my family was an average family, not too rich but business was going fine and there was a possibility that my dad's company is going to become a big company in the city but suddenly died in a car accident, my uncle took away all what my dad left for me, his reason is that I am was not old enough to handle the company so he will take care of it for me but when I eventually graduated he still refused to give me the company, he started talking and saying that I should be thanking him for helping me and said he was the one who made the company what it is today and bla bla bla" Eve said while holding back her tears.

"Which company is that?" Charlie asked.

"Devan corporation" Eve said.

Charlie was surprised,"you mean the one that is into jewelries and fashion designing?" 

"Yes" Eve replied.

" So you are the daughter of Devan Anderson?" Charlie asked.

"Yes.. how do you know my dad?" Eve asked surprised.

"Not exactly, but I heard about him from my dad, both of them were friends before his death" Charlie said.

"That means we might have met each other when we were small" Eve said.

"Probably" Charlie said nodding his head.

"Wow" Eve said in amazement.

"What if I say I will help you get revenge on your uncle?" Charlie asked.

"Really?" Eve asked surprised.

"Yes" Charlie said maintaining his poker face that doesn't show any emotion.

"Oh... but wouldn't it be too late now to revenge?" Eve asked.

"Why would it be late to take back your father's company from your uncle?" Charlie asked.

"I don't know but I seem to like the idea of seeing my uncle's destruction" Eve said smiling slyly.

"Ok then you accept my help?" Charlie asked.

"Yes" said Eve.

"Okay, then marry me" Charlie said.

Eve immediately spits out the water that is in her mouth and looks at Charlie in shock "what!"

"Yes" Charlie said.

"Why?" Eve asked.

"Because if they know that you are my wife they won't be able to do anything to you" Charlie replied.

"Oh" Eve begins to think, " if I get married to him it won't be such a bad idea right?.. it won't" Eve looks at Charlie and said "okay, but on two conditions" 

"Which is?" Charlie asked.

"One..the marriage will be a secret, two..no physical contact for now because we are still getting to know each other" Eve said while eagerly waiting for his response.

Charlie on the other hand isn't happy with the second condition because he doesn't seem to be able to control himself when ever he sees Eve but decides to be patient and wait for Eve to accept him, he said "okay" 

"Then we are getting married tomorrow" Charlie said.

"What! That fast" Eve said shocked.

"Do you have any problem with it?" Charlie asked.

"Not exactly" Eve said.

"Then it's decided" Charlie said.
