CHAPTER 107: BOYCOTT

Eve got ready for work for the day. Sue came into her office to inform her of her schedule for the day.

"Good morning Eve" Sue said walking towards Eve's desk.

"Good morning Sue. Where is Nars?" Eve greeted Sue back and asked for Nars.

"He is setting things up for the day" Sue said.

"Okay. What is my schedule for today?" Eve asked.

"You have a meeting with Honor group of companies to sign a contract with them at 9am, a lunch meeting with the model Miss Alicia black at 2pm, another meeting with the finance department for the summerization of daily expenses and the total money at hand at 4pm and lastly business dinner date with Mr Charles Powell at 7pm" Sue said the last one will giggling.

"Dinner date with Charlie?" Eve asked surprised.

"Yes" Sue said smiling.

"He finds ways to meet you while even using a business meeting as an excuse to meet you... Isn't it romantic?" Sue said dreamingly.

"What business does he want to talk about?" Eve thought and wondered.

"Okay thanks. You can go now" Eve said.

"Okay. Try and take a rest in-between the breaks, so as to not exhaust yourself before your dinner date with your husband if not he would kill me" Sue said.

"Go away!" Eve said blushing and Sue walked out of the office laughing.

Sue meet Nars on the way to their office and he asked her why she was laughing. She told him what happened and how Charlie booked an appointment for dinner date with Eve.

"Really! He did that?" Nars asked laughing.

"Yes" Sue said also laughing.

"The boss is really romantic and can't do without his precious wife" Nars said.

"Yes, that is true" Sue said. "Letus go back to work" Sue said to Nars and both of them head to their office on the same floor with Eve together.

At Jack's palace restaurant~~~~~~

Jack's palace is a new restaurant that just opened last month and Eve's client, Honor group of companies in which she was to sign a contract with choose this place for them to meet.

But Eve waited for him and he was not yet here. She heard the CEO is always early and very much dislikes tardiness. She takes a look at her watch and saw the time to be 10am. 

He is one hour late!

"Please place a call to the CEO of Honor group of companies to enquire why he is not yet here for the contract sighing" Eve said to Sue.

"Okay I will do that" Sue said and dialed the number of the CEO of Honor group of companies.

"Hello Mr Honor" Sue said.

"Hello" Mr Honor replied. "Why are you calling me?" Mr Honor asked with impatience.

Sue was stupified but composed herself. "I called to ask why you are not yet here for the meeting for us signing the contract" Sue said.

"I am sorry but I changed my mind. I am not going to sign the contract with your company anymore I have seen another company" Mr Honor said.

"Why would you want to suddenly pull out?" Sue asked. Eve heard what Sue said and turned to face Sue.

"I do not have to explain myself to you. I decided to pull out and that is final!" Mr Honor said and hung up the phone.

"What is the matter?" Eve asked Sue.

"Mr Honor said he is pulling out of the contract signing" Sue said.

"Why would he do that? Did he tell you his reason for pulling out" Eve asked.

"He did not. He said he just changed his mind and wants to pull out" Sue said.

"Something is fishy. Mr Honor cannot suddenly decide not to sign with us" Eve thought out loud.

"He mentioned that he found another company to partner with" Sue said.

"Another company?" Eve asked.

"Yes" Sue said.

"Did he mention the company's name?" Eve asked.

"No he did not mention the name of the company" Sue said.

"Something is not right and we need to find out who is boycotting our plans" Eve said.

"Why not you ask your husband to help us find out who is behind it" Sue suggested.

"Mhm... I will do that during our dinner date. For now let us go back to the company and prepare for the next meeting with Miss Alicia black" Eve said.

"Okay" Sue said and both of them exited the restaurant after ordering some snacks because they heard that the snacks from this restaurant is very good.

Meanwhile in Honor company~~~~~

Mr Honor's office~~~~~

"It is done. So when can I get reward?" Mr Honor said.

"Don't worry Mr Honor, just meet me at blue skies hotel by 8pm and you would receive your reward and you might continue to get more rewards in the future if you do well" Adriana said seductively caressing Mr Honor's face.

"Okay I will take your word for it. Do not try to deceive me because if you do that I will make sure you are wiped out of the face of the earth" Mr Honor said firmly to show Adriana that he was not joking.

"You do not have to worry about me deceiving you because I always keep to my side of a deal if the other party does the same and since you did yours, I will do mine very well and you will be satisfied and even ask for more" Adriana said.

"Okay if you say so" Mr Honor said.

Eve and Sue returned to the office and went around with the meetings for the day and it was time for the dinner date with Charlie.

Charlie arrived at Devan corporation and went inside the company. He did not ask the front desk receptionist to inform Eve and just proceeded to the private elevator going straight to the CEO's floor where Eve's office is. Nobody stopped him because they already know who he is and his relationship with their boss.

Charlie reached Eve's office and knocked on the door.

"Come in" Charlie heard a soft voice inside and went in. "How is my beautiful wife doing?" Charlie asked around Eve's desk and hugged her.

"I am fine and you?" Eve asked.

"Good for you" Charlie said smiling seductively.

"How was work today?" Eve asked

"Good. Are you not done?" Charlie asked.

"Almost done. I just need to organize this documents and send it to the records department on the 15th floor" Eve said while arranging the documents on her desk.

"Can't you assign any of your secretaries to do that?" Charlie asked.

"I dismissed them early" Eve said. Charlie sighed because his wife is so kind and hardworking.

"Okay I will wait for you to be done with it" Charlie said and stared at his wife.

Eve felt Charlie's gaze on her and she asked "why are you staring at me?."

"I can't seem to keep my eyes off my beautiful wife because she looks hot and sexy while working" Charlie said and kissed Eve on her lips.

"Stop flattering me" Eve said blushing.

"I'm not! I'm just saying the truth don't blame me" Charlie said raising his hands up.

"Hmmm" Eve hummed. "Okay I am done, we can go to the records department and drop these and go" Eve said.

"Okay" Charlie said and helped Eve carry her bag and they went to the records department and dropped the documents and went to the parking lot.

Charlie opened the passenger door and closed it when Eve was already seated. He went around the car and entered the driver seat.

"Where are you taking me for our dinner date?" Eve asked.

"It is a secret but you would like it" Charlie said. He started the car and drove off to their destination.
