CHAPTER 19

What!

Ruth woke up and was astonished to see that she was sleeping on top of Martin. Lady Akeshia kept knocking at the door who wanted to prepare Ruth for the interview at the school. This were orders that she received from Martin yesterday before she slept.

Ruth recklessly went and opened the door and was surprised to see that it was Lady Akeshia. 

" What? What do you want? I know that you want to tell me that I am late for the interview but I believe that I am not. I just have to prepare myself as fast as I can and ask to take me there" said Ruth as she wanted to lock the door before Lady Akeshia entered. 

" Your husband gave me orders to prepare you for the interview. But why is he sleeping at this time? He is supposed to have a meeting with the chief" said Lady Akeshia out of curiosity. 

" I will wake up my husband. I also do not need any help from you. Please never cone to help unless I have given orders for you to do so" said Ruth a bit harsh. 

She signalled Lady Akeshia to leave the room and locked the door. She immediately woke up Martin who astonishingly changed into his official clothes and left. 

What sort of a man was he?

He did not even take a bath. 

He must have been those goons who did not bath often when they were in highschool and campus. 

Ruth thought all of this as she changed into her bath towel and went to the bath tub. She quickly showered and wore the gown that she had found at her nearest end of the closet. She took her hand bag and left. 

She could not help herself but wonder how everyone at the closer gates keep laughing at her. It was not until Lady Akeshia signalled her to go to the study. 

" This is a night gown ma. You ought to have choosen something better for yourself. Let's go back to the room. You should have let me help you like I had decided to. Martin will be angry and dissapointed if he sees you like this" said Lady Akeshia who was really concerned. 

Lady Akeshia took her arm and led her to her room. She choose for her the best gown which was conducive for the interview. She therefore led her to the car where Haggai accompanied her to the school for the interview. 

She was astonished to see Martin in the waiting room. 

Didn't he say that he had a meeting with the chief?

Why did he come to escort me to my interview all of a sudden?

" Martin! Are you done with your meeting with the chief? I thought that you were going to take so long. Did you suddenly decided to accompany me here? Thank you, thank you so much for this great sacrifice that you have made" said Ruth smiling. 

Martin did not respond to everything that she said. He kept looking at her lost in thoughts. 

Her beauty could not be compared with the beauty of the fallen princess. 

" You lighten my day. My path us enlightened whenever it crosses your path. This kind of love is an ultimate kind of love with lots of good luck. Go to your interview love. I wish you a lot of sucess" said Martin as he signalled her to leave. 

Although Ruth did not understand everything that they were saying, she decided to go for the interview since she was already late.
