CHAPTER 51

Ruth went back home and was surprised to see Naomi seated on the couch. Magdalene was seated at the couch too but the both of them seemed angry with each other. Ruth greeted the both of them and went to sit I the middle of both of them. 

" Family reunion. I missed you so much mama. Grandma got released from the cell of hell . I am so happy that she is back in our lives. I will have Lady Ruby prepare for you your room Mama" said Ruth smiling. 

Naomi signalled Ruth not to find an empty space for her. She just came to visit and had no idea of anything that was going on. 

" I have come to go back home with you. It has been a long time since we set our eyes on you. Your father Richard has made it clear that I should go back with you and it might take a long time before you come back into your matrimonial home. Your father heard the rumours that you have often been mistreated by being beaten up . We also heard that you were taken into some dark room. It is important that you come back home my dear" said Naomi in a pellucid voice.

Ruth looked at Magdalene who kept nodding her head in dissaproval. Magdalene knew the rules of the closer gates since she was the one who had implemented them.

" You should not go back to your parents home while you are still married. It's very sad that you still want to go back home. Serious consequences and a strong curse might befall you if you do so. Stay my dear child, I do not want you to get attached with the curses of the closer gates" said Magdalene. 

" Maybe you are right grandma. I should not go back home while I am still married to my husband. I am sorry mam. Maybe you can ask Dad to come and visit me one of this fine days and....." Said Ruth but Magdalene suddenly interrupted. 

" Your own father cannot visit you in your husband's house. It's a rule which has a great and serious consequences. Listen my granddaughter, the reason why I am forbidding you all this is because I want you to know the culture of your life and I want you to familiarize yourself with the rules of the closer gates combined together"

" Grandma! I do not want to be fully indented to Martin. But the rules of the closer gates are getting our of hand. I think that I do love Martin and I love my family as well. I miss Papa and my younger siblings very much. Fine! Can my own siblings come and visit over"

" They are allowed to visit over but they must come with a gift which must be sent to your husband at once. My darling! I am here to teach you eveything that you need to know about our culture" said Magdalene who left the living room. 

Ruth looked around confused for a while. She kept hugging her mother for bo reason. 

That was how love was.
