CHAPTER 59

Faith had gotten what she had always wanted. 

A powerful mother.

She wanted so much to have a conversation with her. Faith decided to sneak into the room since Martin had ordered everyone not to step into the room. She found Lady Akeshia seated on the floor. It was as if she had been sank into the world of thoughts. 

" My mama. I hate seeing you like this. Martin did not really have to do this. He did not really have to make you feel any less. I have begged him countless times to let you go but he wouldn't. Over the past years, I thought that my own mother died. I had often wondered what she looked like. Did she look like? Did our behaviors resemble? Was she a humble mother? For so many years I had wished that you could be my mother. While I was in states, Martin used to praise you a lot. Very much that I felt something wrong would happen" said Faith as she moved closer to Lady Akeshia. 

Lady Akeshia was still silent. She looked at Faith and this time not angrily, she smiled as she stoke Faith's hair. It was as if she had started playing the role of a mother towards her. Faith was as happy as a lark and decided to hug her.

" My young daughter. God knows how many times I wished I lived with you. When I divorced your father, you were just a little infant and yet I knew as you grow up you would listen to his lies and would believe them. I can't blame you for that. At least they honoured the name I gave you"

" What name did you give me mama?"

" I gave you the name Faith. I knew that someday when you were told that I am your mother you would believe it unlike Martin. He doesn't love me. How can he lock me up in the closer gates like a prisoner? Who will take care of Ruth? " 

" Martin has assigned Lady Ruby to attend to Ruth's needs. I will get you out of here mama. Martin has no right to do this. I do not care anymore" said Faith as she hugged Lady Akeshia more tightly. 

Martin who was standing by the door felt bad and left. He went straight to his study. This time he felt so much pain in a way that he did not want anybody to notice that the pain was his weakness. 

MARTIN'S POV.

So! Now I as Martin, I have learnt that you should treat older people with love and handle them with care. They need lots of love and care. But why do I feel a certain fear in my heart if I loose youLady Akeshia. Why do I feel that if you leave the closer gates you will never come back? Tell me why? Is it because you are my mother? Is that why I felt so much attached to you? No ! Very soon I have to let all my ego go into darkness and she'd the light by letting you go. 

Martin locked himself up in the study and did not want any disturbance at all as he kept thinking what he would do with his current situation. 

Ruth on the other hand went to the visit Magdalene in her room. She had not seen her for a long while. She found Magdalene still sleeping on the bed. She was feeling a little bit unwell. After all, older people were prone to new different illnesses in their bodies. 

" Grandma! I really miss you. Get well soon and take over the closer gates. Maybe through that Martin will be able to learn how to treat others well. After all, if wasn't meant to be his" Ruth said as she led Martin's arm. 

Although she did not really mean what she said. She did believe that it was for the best of everyone especially Lady Akeshia whom she was looking up to. 

" My kindest granddaughter. Why are you to good to everyone? Do you think Martin deserve this kind of pity that you are giving him right now? It's a high time that you should start thinking about your own family and how we will convince them to come back to the closer gates especially your own mother Naomi . It's because of Martin's family that I ended up in the cell of hell" said Magdlene.

Ruth immediately ordered her to be silent. She did not want her blood pressure to shoot up . It would mean that she would continue to be under bed rest until further notice. 

" Yes grandma . I will make sure that everything that you wish to happen would truly come to happen. Do not worry about anything. I am always thinking good with my thoughts. No one will have to make you feel bad. You are one of the people that I would regret loosing in my life" said Ruth who led her grandmother to rest. 

She tried to help herself out of the room since she knew that Lady Akeshia was not around to help her anymore .

Ruth was astonished to see Tere. Tere was standing right Infront of her smiling. 

What was she doing there? 

She thought that Tere had been banned from entering the closer gates. 

" You! What the hell are you doing here?" Asked Ruth who was filled with so much shock. 

" I am not here to cause trouble. I am here to check on you. If you do not know, I am the one who faithfully took you to the hospital"

" I know that but what I do not understand is what you were doing at the mansion at that time"

" I came to look for Martin and you as well .I was to plead with the both of you to forgive me for my wrong doings that is when I bumped I saw what happened to you. That is when I saw that Faith had stabbed you almost to death and yet there was nothing that I would do about it. I decided to take you to the hospital. I might had hated you but life was something that still needed to be treasured. I realized it when you helped me at the beggars corner despite the fact that I had tried to kill you. I am here just to check on you"

" Thank you so much but I am doing just fine. A lot of things have happened ever since you left and we are dealing with those hard situations right now. Please take me to my matrimonial room and leave the mansion before Martin finds you" said Ruth . 

Tere quickly helped Ruth to her room and left the mansion. She was happy that she had at least achieved one thing. She had managed to start building friendship with Ruth. 

RUTH'S POV. 

You might be become my friend but I know that you hate me Tere. I know that you hate with all of your heart for taking your position in this mansion but do not worry. If Martin does not change, I will leave the mansion then you will have no one to fight with and no choice than to accept your ex wife Tere back for the sake of Purist. 

Purist who had been worried we to the matrimonial room to check on Ruth . She was happy as a lark when she found out that Ruth was alright. 

She hugged her but this time she was careful not to scratch Ruth's wound. 

" I hope you get well soon mama. That is the main reason why I chose not to go to school today. I just did it so that I could be with you and help you to prepare your coffee if indeed you needed it. I know that you needed it . Now look at me mama . Even though you are sick we will play a game" said Purist filled with lots of enthusiasm. 

" Listen Purist. I know how much you are fond...." Said Ruth but Purist suddenly interrupted. 

" Listen Mama .I want you to close your eyes and tell me what you see. Do you wish that you could be in space? All alone and trying to figure out what is there. Then you see an Angel with a white gown then sudden waves then total darkness but yet you smile. You  feel confident because you think your safe. Mama! Where do you think you are" asked Purist . 

" I think I am on space" said Ruth who suddenly opened her eyes and widened her eyes once she found out that she had failed the test. 

Ruth was astonished to find out that she was still in her matrimonial room . She was still in her matrimonial room and had no idea what was going to happen to her next. 

Ruth slowly placed Purist's arm on her thighs. She had truly admired the kind of innovation that the little girl hard . Sone people were just born with the art mind.
