CHAPTER 160

Everybody looked at Ruth astonished since they followed her to the guests cell. They felt like Ruth was being a little bit weird but did not understand the kind of pain that she was feeling.

" Do what you want then. If you like, you can make sure that they die there because you and Nelly no longer consider Lawrence and Vivian as a family. I have nothing to do about that"  said Ryan angrily who left accompanied by Naomi and Akeshia who were already tired of watching what was really happening.

Ruth felt a little bit devastated by the fact that everybody seemed angry with her and yet she was the one who was wronged. This made Ruth to drop both the guns down on the floor and began to cry. Faith and Nelly went towards her and embraced her. 

" People always get the wrong impression of me but have never for once thought that they can be mistaken. How am I wrong today? This two people played with my health. Was I supposed to spare them?" said Ruth in a pellucid voice.

" No! Family never hurt family and that's why family which hurts family must always suffer serious consequences. Ryan is not in his right state of mind because he thinks that what you have done is wrong but according to me what you have done is right. They sent Tere and Haggai to beat you up. This made you to go to the closer gates and cut ties with the person you were not supposed to cut ties with. I am sorry if you had to ruin your relationship with Martin" said Faith as she hugged Ruth and wiped her tears as well.

" Thank you Faith. Thank you Nelly. It's good to know that some people still trust me and choose to be on my side even though I feel that I am on the wrong side. Sometimes! I am always stack up and do not really know what to do. Let's get out of here. How long will we stay here and keep waiting for nothing? I really need to go and rest right now" said Ruth who stopped being emotional and left. 

Ruth had not yet fully recovered but lied to everyone that she had fully recovered in order to be treated as any other healthy person. She was tired of being the center of attraction. 

Martin on the other hand got tired of waiting for another cup of tea simply because Lady Ruby had forgotten everything and went to sleep. This made him to start looking for lady Ruby not until she found Lady Nana in the kitchen preparing a meal for the servants.

" Where is Lady Ruby?" Asked Martin angrily.

" Sir! She might be outside cleaning the compound. Let me go and get her" said Lady Nana in a pellucid voice. 

" What do you think you will gain by lying to me? I have been outside there but I did not see lady Ruby cleaning the compound. Besides, why would she decide to clean the compound at a time like this? I know she might be at the servant quarters right now. Go and call her right away and ask her to meet me at the garden" shouted Martin at Lady Nana and left.

Lady Nana obidiently went to the servant quarters and tried searching for Lady Ruby in her block. She was astonished to find out that Lady Ruby was deep asleep. Lady Nana tried to wake up Lady Ruby but she was not responding easily which made her to be filled with lots of worries. Lady Nana immediately went to the bath tap and carried some cold water on her arms which she poured on Lady Nana's face.

" What have you just done? Don't you realize that you have just ruined my sleep my fellow servant?" Asked Lady Ruby angrily. 

" You shouldn't be angry with me the way you are. Someone else is looking for you Lady Ruby. You tend to forget your tasks very easily. Don't you? What did Boss Martin ask you to prepare for him a few hours earlier? Now he is furious with you and ask you to meet him at the garden right away" said Lady Nana in a commanding voice.

" That old aging man is now a confused man who does not know what he wants in life. He is in total pain because Ruth declared him her enemy. I think that Ruth was right to do that.This man does not care about others and will always look down upon them. I have nothing more to do than to go and face him right now and explain to him the main reason why I did not make for him another cup of tea. Sometimes he acts as if he is the hero" said Lady Ruby who left her block.

She decided to go and meet with Martin who was still seated at the garden filled with lots of anger.

" Sir! You called for me" said Lady Ruby in a pellucid voice as soon as she arrived at the garden.

" Where is my cup of tea?" Asked Martin in a commanding manner.

" Sorry sir....I forgot....I ....." Said Lady Ruby but Martin suddenly interrupted. 

" You forgot to bring to your boss what he has ordered from you. What sort of a servant are you who does not know how to do her work properly? I am going to teach you a lesson. You know nothing but to try and seduce me with your seductive acts" shouted Martin at Lady Ruby.

" What kind of lesson are you going to teach me? Are you going to teach me how to be a perfect servant to you? I have always tried to be a good person but today I am at my wits end. You took me to the cell of hell a few years back simply because I borrowed permission from Ruth your ex wife and wanted to go and see my sick son. Now you want to punish me for failing to prepare for you a cup of tea. I am sorry Sir Martin but I would rather resign from this work" said Lady Ruby angrily.

" You are aware that working at the mansion here at the close gates is a lifetime work. You cannot dare go anywhere till the day that you will die. Go and prepare me a cup of tea or else......" Said Martin but Lady Ruby suddenly interrupted.

" Or else what. You will send Tere and Haggai to beat me up just like the way you did to Ruth. You......" Said Lady Ruby but Ruth suddenly interrupted. 

" You what? I thought you are wiser than that lady Ruby. I know that Martin did not send Tere and Haggai to beat me up. We might not be on good terms but Martin can never be capable of hurting me to such an extent that I am admitted at the hospital" said Ruth in a pellucid.

Lady Ruby and Martin turned behind them and were astonished to find out that it was Ruth. Ruth had pretended that she wanted to go and rest but in the right way she wanted to sneak out of the house in order to have a conversation with Martin. She wanted to seek Martin's forgiveness at how bad she spoke at Martin because guilt was really attacking her soul. 

" You don't understand....." Said Lady Ruby but Ruth suddenly interrupted.

" What do I really have to understand Lady Ruby? I might not know what Martin asked you to do but what I know is the fact that you have to do it. This is what you signed up for when you decided to be a servant at this mansion. So go" said Ruth as Lady Ruby left to the kitchen. 

" What do you want here and who has given you the right to interfere with my personal matters? I thought that we made ourselves each other's enemy the last time you were here. Do I now have to plead with you not to come back to the closer gates? Don't you understand that I can really do bad things to you since I am obsessed by your love Ruth. I still love you" said Martin as he moved closer to Ruth and pushed her towards him. 

" My life is with Ryan now and I really respect that relationship. I am sorry but I cannot do this Martin" said Ruth who tried to push Martin away from her but Martin resisted.

" Tell me! Is it because I am getting extraordinarily old nowadays? Is it because Ryan is more handsome and more youthful like you? I want you and I want more of you that's why today I am not going to hesitate but take you to my room and make you mine" said Martin as he caressed Ruth forcefully on her cheeks. 

" You are not going to do that to me. You are too old and wrinkled. Let's see if you will be to run with me all over the house like an athlete in order to get me" said Ruth.

" I don't have to do that. I have my own guards to help me with that" said Martin who pointed at his three guards who were standing right in front of him.

Ruth turned towards behind her and was astonished to see three well built men standing in front of her just like Haggai. She widened her eyes in disbelief. Ruth had never felt threatened like that before even after all the threats that Martin had subjected her to. This made Ruth to be filled with lots of worries. She felt that she needed to do something to defend herself.
