CHAPTER 175

" Please take your breakfast Ruth. This marriage might turn you mad since Ryan is a mad man himself. He does not know how to put relations together but know how to make two enemies work under one ground" said Naomi smiling.

Ryan immediately spitted the food which was in his mouth on his plate which made everyone on the table to feel nauseated. Naomi's word almost choked him to ironic death. 

" I am leaving to the case square. Today is the first day that Nelly is going to sit on her judgement seat. I want to be there for her. If you may excuse me Aunt Naomi" said Ryan who left the dining table.

" Go Nelly. Please follow your dear brother Ryan. I want to see how long you will be able to handle your work as the case manager. Let's see if you will be able to handle those hardy and difficult cases like I used to" said Vivian laughing annoyingly.

Nelly chose to ignore Vivian and silently left the dining table. She decided to go to her room in order to change into the case manager gown. Ruth noticed the sadness in Nelly's face which made her to follow Nelly to her room.

AS soon as Ruth arrived, she took the gown and assisted Nelly to wear. She therefore held Nelly's arm and led her to the mirror inorder for Nelly to take a glimpse at herself.

" Don't you see how smart you look Nelly?You should not be sad. You are actually not like Vivian because I know that you are going to be a good case manager. You are the nicest and kindest person I have ever seen in this world Nelly. That is why I know that it will be easy and in a fair way that you will pose fair judgement on those who are guilty and those who are not guilty. I have full trust in you Nelly that is why in my heart I have always known that you are the one supposed to be the case manager ever since I arrived in this town and saw the goodness this you had" said Ruth to Nelly smiling. 

" Thank you so much. Now that I am going to be the case manager, I will never let anyone hurt my family or any member of my family because that person will have to deal with the new case manager in town. And you? I know you will never hurt my brother. You will always defend him at any lengths. Isn't that right?" Said Nelly as she turned towards Ruth to hear her response. 

" Of course! I will never do anything to hurt your brother and it's a promise" said Ruth as she held Nelly's arm smiling. 

' Promise my foot. Your brother is the one who should not hurt me in this case. He killed my grandma and I will never forgive him for that. Now that you are the case manager, you will be the one to pose a verdict on him once I get witnesses and proper evidence. It is then that you will be able to prove your worth in my life' Ruth thought smiling. 

" Good! I was right when I made those vows that I made to you on your engagement. I love you sister and I think it's time for me to go to my vowing ceremony as the new case manager. Hope you, your mother and your sister will be there on time" said Nelly. 

" We will try our best Nelly. It's not really good to make fake promises. I don't really want to be that kind of a person. Please go my dear. Everyone is waiting for you" said Ruth who signalled to Nelly to leave. 

Nelly immediately left dressed like a perfect case manager. Ruth left Nelly's room too and went to the kitchen to do a few chores. She did not really want to be part of Nelly's vowing ceremony. She knew that nobody would be able to find if she kept herself busy doing kitchen chores but she was wrong. Faith and Naomi had already dressed up who were looking for her all over the house.They luckily found Ruth in the kitchen watching utensils.

" Are you pretending to be busy Ruth? Are you not going to your sister-in-law's vowing ceremony? " Asked Naomi as she entered the kitchen accompanied by Faith.

" You both can go to the vowing ceremony. The kitchen is too dirty for me to leave it like that. I know you understand the fact that cleanliness is next to sucess in life. How then will I prove to be a responsible wife if I dare to leave this kitchen as dirty as it is?" Asked Ruth smiling. 

" Ruth! What is really happening to you? Are you not the one who taught me that hapiness is built by memories that we share with people but not simple house chores that people do everyday? Why then don't you want to go to Nelly's vowing ceremonies knowing very well that your presence there will be very important to Nelly?" Said Faith a little bit worried.

" Fine! Fine! Fine! You two should wait in the living room as I go and change" said Ruth.

" Alright! You are indespeakable Faith. I don't know why you have forced me to go to that vowing ceremony" Ruth whispered on Faith's ear angrily as she left.

" Shall we? This kitchen must be no one's business right now. They will definetly have to being in a servant to help us with a few house chores" said Naomi who held Faith's arm and led her out of the kitchen. 

Faith and Naomi decided to sit on the couch as they waited for Ruth who came back to the living room quickly. 

" I am now fully dressed. Can we please leave now?" Said Ruth who signalled to both Faith and Naomi to leave as Ruth locked the door. 

Ruth therefore put the door keys on the flowers which were beside the door. They therefore left yet Ruth still did not understand the main reason why Faith chose that they should go after knowing that Ryan's family contributed to kill Magdalene. The bitterness in her heart was still fresh as Ruth was still not used to it yet Faith felt that in order to make people suffer you needed to put a smile on their faces.
