CHAPTER 197

Evelyn decided to take Ruth to the closer gates even if she did not want to. She knew that the old memories would come back and frustruate her. 

As soon as they arrived up at the closer gates, they found that the gates were opened and were astonished to find out that the guards signalled them to enter without any hard strains.

Evelyn drove inside the closer gates and parked her car next to the mansion. Evelyn and Ruth got out of the car and wanted to enter the mansion bit they were astonished to see Akeshia standing outside the mansion.

" What are you doing here without my daughter beside you? Oh! You want to see Martin? That will not be possible as long as I do not see my daughter Faith standing beside you and my granddaughter Purist" said Akeshia who locked the doors of the mansion from the inside immediately.

" You are the only one who does not want me to get into the mansion. Is it what your son want too Aunt Akeshia? Then I would like to hear it straight from his mouth" shouted Ruth as she kept knocking on the door till it Martin finally opened it.

" Why should I go against my mother's words? I know that you are only here because you pity me but I do not need your pity. You invited me to your engagement party with Ryan. Why don't you focus on your marriage and leave me alone? Get out of here. I don't want to see your face" said Martin as he held both Evelyn's and Ruth's arm then led them to the car filled with lots of anger.

Evelyn and Ruth immediately entered the car and drove off as Ruth began to cry. This made Evelyn to stop driving and wipe Ruth's tears using her handkerchief which astonished Ruth.

" Why are you crying? You are not at fault here. You are not a weakling Ruth. You can get whatever you want however you want so stop shedding the crocodile tears that you are shedding right now" said Evelyn as she suddenly started driving.

" Why should I hide my tears behind a big smile? You know very well that I love Martin no matter what. His heart and my heart were immediately attached the day I was born. Crying...crying is just a way of trying to forget about sorrows. Why then should I not cry?" Asked Ruth filled with lots of confidence.

" A leader who cries can never be able to achieve anything great in life. You need to always be strong and let your pride overcome your emotions. I don't why you always find it hard to understand some things" said Evelyn in serious tone which made her to remain silent for the rest of the journey.

Evelyn did not really want to upset Ruth who was already looking upset. Ruth decided to sleep for the rest of the journey till they arrived back at Evelyn's mansion. Evelyn decided to carry Ruth using her witches powers to the mansion since she found it hard to wake up Ruth who was still deep asleep. She decided to put Ruth on the couch which made her to suddenly wake up due to the force of gravity.

" Sorry grandma" said Ruth as she suddenly woke up and sat on the couch.

" There is no need to be sorry Ruth. You really need to rest. You have gone through alot since you entered mambo town. Let me show you your room" said Evelyn who signalled to Ruth to stand. 

" But I don't want to rest grandma. I want to only rest when my family is back into my arms" said Ruth feeling a little bit sad.

" It's only a matter of two days my love. Everything will be alright and you will have your family back into your arms" said Evelyn.

" I want to go outside for a little while. I need sometime alone" Ruth said as she left the mansion. 

Ruth had lied to Evelyn. She did not really want to be alone for a little while but rather she wanted to find out the truth behind her vision. 

Evelyn was absolutely strange to her and had strange qualities compared to Magdalene but the voice and every aspect of her body including her eyes were those of Magdalene. This made Ruth to doubt Evelyn so much who decided to tour around the mansion.

As soon as she went to the backyard, she was astonished to find out that Evelyn's grave was there and it was empty. There was no old coffin inside or a dead rotten body. This made Ruth to widen her eyes in disbelief.

" What are you looking for Ruth? Don't get confused with what you see around. You might die before you accomplish all your missions on this earth" said Evelyn in a commanding voice.

" Nothing big grandma. Shall we go back to the house?" Asked Ruth as Evelyn nodded her head in agreement.

" I think you should have a cup of coffee to ease the tension that you have in your mind" said Evelyn as soon as they entered the house pointing at the coffee which was on top of the table. 

Ruth immediately took the coffee which was on top of the table and drank as she sat on the couch. 

After a few minutes , she fell off on the couch and went into deep slumber. Evelyn carried her using her powers and took her to her room then laid her to rest.

' You need to forgive me Ruth. It's true that I am your grandma Magdalene at the same time I am your grandma Evelyn. Both of decided to join hands in order to make you stronger than you are to fight for what you want' Evelyn thought as she tried to feel Ruth's heartbeat which was not beating any longer.

Evelyn decided to sit beside her on top of the bed and touched Ruth's head tightly which made her to strain and have discomfort. She wanted to know the exact strengths of Ruth and how to make her stronger. Of not, then Evelyn felt that Ruth was still ever going to loose on all her battles in life.

Evelyn found out that Ruth's weakness was Purist and her only strength was he mother Naomi. That was the main reason why she kept failing. Evelyn felt that a witch who always puts his trust on people always fails but a witch who always puts his trust on objects never failed. That was the main reason why Ruth always failed in all her plans.

After discovering this, Ruth decided to leave Ruth alone to rest. The syrup that Evelyn had put in the coffee was going to make Ruth sleep for the next thiry eight hours.

Ryan and his guards found themselves back at Mambo town. Ryan found himself in his room taking a shower whereas his guards found themselves at the boundary gates of mambo town guarding the gates to the entrance.

Ryan showered faster and changed into his black garments. He still found it hard to believe that he was back in the mansion yet he had left his car and everything back at Olam town. 

This made him to get out of his room and try to search for Naomi. She was the only one who had the answer to all of Ryan's questions. Rusnfound Naomi on her roomtskknha gladd of water. He immediately entered and locked the room from the inside.

" Are you going to tell me what I want to here or should I use force again" said Ryan in a commandonb voice as he went and sat beside Naomi on top of the bed.

" What do you want to hear little Ryan? Alot of things have happened and therefore, you will need to ask me all your unanswered questions at a time. What do you want to know Mr. Ryan?" Asked Naomi in a pellucid voice.

" We were in the abandoned house at Olam town where I had already caught Haggai and Tere. I don't know how Ruth abd the old woman came to know about it and also came to the abandoned house. The woman did something and we saw the red light after Ruth had untied both Haggai and Tere. The next thing is that I found myself in my room taking a shower. What is all this aunt naomi? " Asked Ryan filled with lots of curiosity.

" We come from a family that believed in using their witches powers to win everything and get what they wanted. Evelyn is one of our older witches. She is powerful than even the powerful witches in the old tales. That is all I think you should know" said Naomi who entered her bed and began to sleep.

Ryan left immediately. He was shocked by everything that he had heard from Naomi and therefore needed time to process everything. He felt that he shouldn't ness with Naomi and her family anymore.
