CHAPTER 212

Carrying the ancestral vase in front of everyone was too hard for Ruth. Therefore, she needed to hide it if from anyone since in the closer gates mansion, rumours spread faster than fire. She decided to go to Magdalene's room as she neede to know the way forward. She needed to know how she was going to perform the rites since she was not an experienced witch. 

As soon as Ruth arrived at Magdalene's room, she was astonished to find out that the room was empty. Not even Magdalene's pictures that she had left was there. This made Ruth to shed tears of sadness.

' Forgive me grandma. I made you spend most of your life out of closer gates even though I knew that it was all your pride. I was so selfish that I made you to accompany me to Mambo town where you met your untimely death. You were meant to live grandma. I am sorry grandma ' Ruth thought aloud as tears welled down her eyes. 

" You do not have to be sorry my daughter. You cared about Purist at the moment yet your grandma and I chose to follow you. Don't blame yourself my love. She was meant to die that way" said Naomi as she went towards Ruth and embraced her filled with lots of sadness.

" No mama. I really failed to protect grandma. I was there during the war and I was fighting against Martin's people. No, all this could have never happened. I could refused for you and grandma to come to Mambo town . But it pains to know that the person who killed grandma is Ryan whereas all this while I used to think that it was Martin. I do not really think that I will ever be able to forgive myself for the mistakes that I have made" Ruth said in a pellucid voice as tears welled down her eyes.

" You will be able to do that only if you make things right. Get married to the right man and only think about yourself but first get rid of Evelyn. The only way to do that is to make her see the ancestral vase then she will immediately turn into ashes" said Magdalene in her spiritual mode as soon as she suddenly appeared. 

" What do you mean that I should get marridd to the right man and think about myself? What about Ryan and Nelly? They are all waiting for me to return and help them. What about Purist? She always known Mr as her mother" Ruth said a bit curious.

" Well then. If you think that you deserve to get mariied to Ryan, then do so. You can only fight all your battles and end them as a married woman. But I have to remind you one think. If you choose to get married to Martin, then don't let him shed blood or you will die too" said Magdalene whose spirit suddenly disappeared.

" What do you mean grandma? Come back grandma. Please stop speaking in parables and explain everything to me. Grandma! Grandma! Grandma!" Shouted Ruth as she looked around the room but unluckily, Magdalene had already gone.
