CHAPTER 221
Naomi felt that Evelyn was the only person who could had released Tere from jail and blamed it on Ruth in order to create a rift between her and her daughter. She felt that Evelyn might had done that for the ancestral vase but no one had any idea about it. Time was really going to tell.
Ruth tried as hard as she could to call an ambulance but none of her efforts could bear any fruits as none of the ambulance stations answered her call. This made Ruth to panic as she as she came towards Nelly with tearful eyes and sat beside her. Nelly seemed to had lost alot of blood.
" What should we do now Ruth?" Asked Naomi who was devastated and went to sat on the couch.
" Maybe we should help each other carry her to the car and rush her to the hospital. Maybe we can try out using the ancestral vase" said Ruth.
" Are you mad? What has she got to do with the ancestral vase? She is not even a witch" said Naomi a bit angry.
" We do not know that mama. All we know is that we can try to heal her using the ancestral vase leaf before the ambulance responds to my call" said Ruth who left the living room.
Ruth went to her room to get the ancestral vase which she went with it to the kitchen. She took one of the leaf from the ancestral vase and boiled it using the cooker for a few minutes. As soon as she was done, she put the bolied leaf in a cup together with the ancestral vase.
She therefore went to the living to search for Nelly but Nelly and her Mama Naomi were nowhere to be found. Looking at the house main door, it was open and Ruth could see traces of blood from where Naomi was seated and where Nelly was lying to the house main door.
Ruth ran outside at first as she could but she was stopped by Evelyn who was standing outside the main door.
" Why did you underestimate me? Did you really think that I would let you go after you ran away with the ancestral vase? Give me the ancestral vase if you want your mother and Nelly alive. After all, everybody will always do anything for the sake of power" said Evelyn in a commanding voice.
" Before I agree to your terms. I have my own conditions. Firstly, I want Nelly to be treated immediately since she has lost a lot of blood. Secondly, Why don't we engage ourselves in a witch fight? Whoever becomes the winner gets a chance to walk away with their wish" said Ruth smiling.
" Fine! My wish is that I get the ancestral vase" said Evelyn smiling.
" My wish is that you stay out of my family's life and let us be. Do not dare control us again or disturb our peaceful lives. My wish is also to know the person who has released Tere and Haggai from jail and then claims that it is me" said Ruth.
" Granted " said Evelyn as she streched her arm wanting to shake hands with Ruth.
" Granted Evelyn but there can never be a negotiation between an angel and the devil. I know you can turn back on me at anytime.
" I know that trust is something that can never be built easily but Evelyn is too proud to go back on her words. And remember one thing, you are not an angel. You are a proud girl from the clan of witches. Six hours of preparation. Then come to the closer gates meeting square for the final war" said Evelyn.
" What about Nelly's treatment?" Asked Ruth a bit worried.
" That one is going to commence in a little while. I hope once she gets healed then you will accept her for who she is" said Evelyn laughing annoyingly who immediately left Ruth's house.
Ruth immediately locked the door. She had only six hours to plan how she was going to deceive Evelyn forever. This was her only chance to do away with Evelyn. If she managed to do so, then she would get a chance to save Naomi and Nelly from the wrath of Evelyn.
Ruth ran to the kitchen and immediately picked the ancestral vase. She therefore went to her room and locked her room. She knew nothing about receiving a witch who had just risen from the death and had a power of forming the spirit of comparison. Therefore, she knew that the best way was to summon her grandmother and her forefather.
Ruth began her summoning spell till she finally entered the spiritual world. There, she had no idea of how she was going to find Magdalene but she knew that she was determined to find him and wouldn't dare stop the spell till she found her grandmother Magdalene.
It did not take her more than thiry minutes, she found her grandmother Magdalene.
" Grandma! Can we have a talk?" Asked Ruth who saw her grandma having a conversation with her dead father and siblings.
" Can't you see I am having a talk with your siblings?" Said Magdalene.
" I know grandma but what I have to tell you is very important. Something is happening to grandma and Nelly" said Ruth in a pellucid voice.
" What is happening to my wife?" Asked Ruth's father filled with lots of anger who stood from a chair and took a knife on top of the table and then pointed the knife at Ruth.
" Papa! Why are you pointing your knife at me? You are making me scared. I cannot run away from here till I ask grandma Magdalene for help" shouted Ruth but her spirit suddenly disappeared as soon as her father wanted to stab.
She got astonished to an extent that her spell suddenly stopped as soon as she got out of the spiritual world. This made Ruth to be devastated. She began having different conversation within herself.
" Why don't you kidnap your daughter Purist and your evil sister Faith who is the one who has created all this mess? You must remember that if she did not try and ressurect Evelyn,none of this could have happened to Nelly and mama" said the dark side of Ruth.
" You have to perform another spell and get back to the spiritual world. You have to summon grandma and seek for her help. Your father is just a distraction who does not want you to reach your destination. You have to do this faster Ruth. Six hours is a little time " said the light side of Ruth.
" Time is running. Hurry up and kidnap Purist and Faith. You have to win this fight by all means. Remember the fact that if you do not win, then you will loose everything and you will loose the ancestral vase which you have been protecting for a long period of time" said the dark side of Ruth.
" Get back to the spiritual world and summon grandma Magdalene. Time is running out" said the light side of Ruth.
Before Ruth could reach a conclusion, she finally heard a knock at the door. She immediately ran to open the door thinking that Naomi and Nelly had finally come back but was astonished to find out that it was a messanger from the law firm who had a letter of admission. Ruth signed a document that she had received the letter and signalled to the messanger to leave. The messanger immediately left as Ruth locked the door.
Ruth therefore went and sat on the couch and opened the letter. She wanted to know what the law courts wanted from her.
DEAR RUTH'
How are you doing? I hope you are fine. Based on the fact that you had appied to be a lawyer in my law firm once again, your request has been accepted. You will be sworn in once again within the next two days. This is simply because of your effor to stop early childhood marriages in our town. In the short term you served for us, you became a role model to many. Therefore, you have been accepted to work in our law firm. Looking forward to see you in the next three days.

Ruth angrily threw the paper on the floor. That was the least news that she wanted to receive. She immediately went back to her room and decided to perform the spiritual spell once again.
This time she was glad to finally find Magdalene seated alone at her swinging chair.
" Grandma! Can we talk?" Asked Ruth.
" What do you want to talk about?" Asked Magdalene without looking at Ruth.
" Something bad has happened to mama. Evelyn has kidnapped both mama and Nelly and the worst part of it is that we have agreed that only if we go to war and I win, I will get everything back, my peace,my mama, Nelly and I will get to protect put ancestral vase but if I loose to her, then we will loose the ancestral vase, I will never see my mama or Nelly again" said Ruth a bit hesitant with tearful eyes.
