CHAPTER 236
Nelly was already tired of sleeping in the room alone and that's why she had asked Ruth to sleep beside her even though her arms were painful. As soon as she grabbed Ruth by her arms, Ruth noticed that her hands were shaking. It was then that she noticed the fact that Nelly might had been feeling pain in her arm but she was trying as much as she can not to make Ruth know about it.
" I think it's too cold. Let me get my pajarmer from my room please. I am coming back" said Ruth as she wanted to leave but noticed that Nelly had hardly removed her arms from her.
Ruth therefore decided to remove Nelly's arm from her. It was then that she heard Nelly groan in pain. Ruth turned towards her and tried to calm her down.
" What is it Nelly? Nelly! Nelly! Are you convulsing again?" said Ruth as she saw Nelly eyes suddenly turned to white.
Ruth immediately ran and called for the doctors and the nurses who were playing chess at the living room. Ruth ran to them filled with lots of anger.
" What are the three of you doing here? Huh! Go right now to Nelly's room because she has started convulsing again. If that girl dies, then I will make sure that three of you join her to the morgue" said Ruth angrily.
The doctors and the two nurses immediately ran to Nelly's room they indeed found out that Nelly's state was worsened since she had suffered from shock. Ruth who had followed the quickly stood for a while in a state of dilemma thinking that Nelly was dead.
" What is wrong with her? I will kill all of you if she dies. Instead of you nurses to stay in her room to take care of her, you are busy playing chess in the living room. I will suck both of you" said Ruth as the doctor suddenly pushed her out of the room and closed the door preventing her from entering.
Ruth who was eager to know what was happening to Nelly kept knocking on the door but no one bothered to open for her. Faith, Purist and Naomi who finally heard her cries and plea from the kitchen came towards her in order to find out what was happening.
" What has happened to Nelly?" Asked Naomi filled with lots of worries as soon as she arrived.
" I don't know mama. When I entered Nelly's room and wanted to have a conversation with her, I noticed that she was not speaking well as she usually speak yet she urged to sleep beside her. As soon as I slept beside her, she held me by her arms. It was then that I realized she had started convulsing. What scared me the most was seeing her beautiful eyes suddenly turning to white. I don't know what is happening to her in there mama. They have refused to let me in and see what her condition is. I am scared for her mama. I don't know what I will tell Ryan and Lawrence of she ends up dying and I have to take her corpse back to her hometown. They will hold me responsible for her death" said Ruth as tears welled down her eyes who sat on the floor since she had lost her strength.
Faith and Naomi assisted her to stand and took her to the living room as Purist who was deeply sad followed them closely. She had never experienced such sad momemts in her life.
" There is nothing that is going to happen to Nelly. I don't really think that she deserves to die like that. She still has alot of undone purpose to do. She still has alot to fulfill. Can't you remember that it hasn't been long since she was made case manager of her own town? The position that was supposed to be hers for so many years?" Said Naomi as she embraced Ruth.
" I remember everything very well mama. Nelly was the case manager of her town but since the accident, she was the only one who was taking care of her sibling Ryan. In that process, Vivian was able to take the position seat from her. Since then, Nelly and Ryan and been living miserable lives. That was what she came to tell me and seek for my help but I told her without wasting time that I couldn't help her. That was why she decided to stay inorder to convince me in how much she needed my help. I wish I had listened to her at that time and went with her and help her to become the case manager and the leader for the shortest time that Ryan was still recovering" said Ruth.
" You will go with her back to Mambo town to help her as per the way she had requested but not as a corpse. You will go with her alive and give her back to her siblings whom I know are really worried about her since she ran away from home" said Naomi.
Luckily, the doctor came in at that instant. Everybody looked at him a bit curious to hear his statement. His facial proved that he was a little bit sad.
" She is put of the convulsion state but this time something else has been detected in her body. What she is suffering from is not even convulsion, it is something else which we are yet to find out what it is. At least right now we have been able to prevent it from happening" said the doctor.
" What do you mean you don't know what she is suffering from? What do I pay you for doctor? Have you forgotten the huge deal that I entered with you? You better find the name of what she is suffering from. I cannot let you lie empty whereas I try as much as I can to bring your wife and daughter back to you " shouted Ruth at the doctor.
" You better keep trying because as much as Nelly is suffering from what I don't know as per now, I will still find out what it is and I will tell you. I will cure her of every illness that she will suffer from but it will come with how far you'll go to bring my family back to me. I want to see more efforts. You have no idea of how much I miss my them. They are the only ones who gives me strength to continue living" said the doctor.
" I know that doctor. I like the fact that you understand that family is everything to everyone. I will put more effort into bringing her back. Three days won't pass without you hearing her voice. I understand how you feel doctor. And I really hope that within those three days, Nelly's speech will regain. Should I go and see her right now?" said Ruth who seemed really sure that she was going to bring the doctor's family back home.
" Yes but we have injected her some sedative inorder for her to fall deep asleep. She will be able to wake up tomorrow in the morning. It was really important for us to do that inorder for her to fall asleep and stop having alot of thoughts in her mind. She will wake up tomorrow in the morning. Should I sleep now? I am feeling very tired" said the doctor who immediately went to the couch and slept.
" Do you see now? You shouldn't really be worried about anything. Nothing bad is really going to happen with Nelly. She cannot die premature deaths" said Naomi.
" Mama! Purist! Faith! I am really tired. I want to go and sleep. I am going to pass through Nelly's room then finally go and sleep" said Ruth but as soon as she looked at Purist's head where she had put the protection ring, the protection ring had turned to red from green which made Ruth to be filled with lots of anger.
" What is it mama?" Asked Purist who had suddenly noticed that Ruth was looking at her in worried manner.
" Nothing! I just want you to sleep with me and my grandma in my room tonight. I know that there you will be safe and no one will dare do anything to harm my sweet little angel" said Ruth.
" But I want to sleep with my aunt Faith. I know that she will be able to protect me from anybody who tries to harn me. Please let me sleep with her" Purist pleaded as she folded her arms together.
" Alright! I know that Faith will be able to protect you from any harm. Isn't that right Faith?" Ruth asked Faith as Faith nodeed her head in agreement.
None of them had an idea that Ruth had put an invisible protection ring on them. Furthermore,the protection ring had a side effect, it made them feel a little bit dizzy which Ruth had no idea about. That was the main reason that the doctor kept feeling that he should sleep.
