CHAPTER 224

" What are you trying to do Faith? I don't think that you should come with me. You have to choose your own family over me" said Ruth as she loosened her hand from Faith. 

" What about the fact that you saved Purist? You chose her over your family. Why can't you give us that kind of chance too? Have we ever done anything wrong to you?" Asked Faith feeling a little bit sad.

Ruth silently looked at her mother to know her decision from her facial. She could feel that Naomi felt sad for Faith and Purist looking at their faces. 

" You can take them as your family members but we cannot stop taking them as our family members because they have always been like family. So we are leaving and hoping to make you die down in ten days time" said Naomi as the four of them held arms and left.

The closer gates people watch them as they left filled with lots of sadness on their faces. They had thought that Ruth was going to win against Evelyn and come back to the closer gates but their enthusiasm got ruined when they saw Ruth leave and heard that the war was to take place again in ten days time. They weren't even sure that Ruth was going or would ever win against Evelyn. It was a tough objective to achieve especially with the fact that Ruth was a powerful special witch and Evelyn was a powerful Evil witch. 

" Alright! You should be looking at those small people like that. They will bring you all nothing than pure troubles in your lives. Unless, you all want to follow her as one of her supporters and my humble enemy" said Tere laughing annoyingly.

" What are you saying? We will never hate Ruth. We hate you and your annoying family" shouted one of the people of the closer gates as they began throwing stones at Evelyn and Martin but suddenly stopped as soon as they saw the grandmother and the grandson suddenly dissapearing. 

The people of the closer gates look at each other and ran away. They had never seen such a thing before and had no perfect idea that they were perfect witches who could even step forward and helped Ruth to win the war. 

Ruth on the other hand left together with Naomi, Purist and Faith. They left using Magdalene's car which for a long time had just been left there parking outside her mansion. Naomi felt that there was no use keeping the car any longer as it is not what Magdalene could have liked. She therefore drove to the closer gates using the car after ensuring that Nelly was well taken care at the hospital she had had her hospitalized in. 

Naomi being the driver in the car, she drove all of them to the hospital which was closer to Magdalene's mansion. Naomi knew that that was the safest place for her to protect Nelly from the claws of Evelyn who was obviously out there hunting her. 

As soon as they arrived at the hospital, Naomi immediately lead them to Nelly's room. When they arrived, they found out that Nelly was still sleeping. Ruth immediately wept as soon as she saw Nelly's helpless state. 

" This wouldn't have happened to her. I told her so many times to go back to Mambo town but she wouldn't listen. Anyway, she isn't least of my problems. I should now focus on making the evil person who has done this to her pay" said Ruth who suddenly left Nelly's ward. 

Faith followed her since she knew Ruth too well. Ruth was fond of making hasty decisions without caring about the consequences. What she thought was indeed true. Ruth went out of the hospital and entered Magdalene's car as if she wanted to drive off. Faith who was following her quickly rushed to the car and entered Magdalene's car too. She therefore signalled to Ruth to stop driving who immediately stopped and looked at her. 

" What do you think you are doing? Where do you think you are going?" Asked Faith a bit angry at Ruth.

" I am going to get rid of that Evil Evelyn. Despite our differences, she had no right to punish you like this or any of my friends. To be honest,I hate to see what is happening to Nelly. I can't even sleep well at night. She is also part of the sisterhood and I treasure you both so much" said Faith as Ruth moved much closer to her and embraced her too much causing them fo cry as they both suddenly stopped embracing each other and got put of the car. 

Ruth then switched off the engine of the car. She took the cad keys as she went back to the hospital accompanied by Faith who she was holding her arm. Luckily, when they arrived at Nelly's ward, they found out that Nelly had already woken up but hardly smiled at them as she was still feeling pain all over her body. 

Ruth and Faith both ran towards Nelly and embraced her. They were both as happy as a lark as they showered Nelly with so many kisses but were sad as soon as they realized that Nelly couldn't speak. 

" Sister! Our sisterhood will fight for your rights. Nelly! I don't know how this happened. I just went to the kitchen to prepare medicine for you only to come back and find out that you and my mama were missing. I cried so much before I saw Evelyn whom we agreed to go into war inorder to save you and mama. I am derply sorry" said Ruth who seemed regretful through her words as tears welled down her eyes since Nelly couldn't speak. 

" I think we should call the doctor. The fact that Nelly is really loosing her speech makes me to be more sad. There must be a peoblem with her. Maybe she's been traumatized by being stabbed and kidnapped then taken to the closer gates prisons, ' the cell of hell ' where she might had met many kinds of people who were scary that caused her to become dumb and pretending to be deaf" said Naomi who immediately left the ward.

" I am not dumb or pretending to be deaf" said Nelly who seemed to be straining by her words. 

" There you finally speak my little sister. Why was I even do worried about you? Still I think that the doctor should examine you and find out the main reason as to why you are pretending to be deaf and dumb. We care about you sister. If this continues, we will have to call a therapist for you. I am deeply sorry to say so" said Faith as Ruth suddenly pushed her out of the room. 

She felt that Faith was saying all those things deliberately to upset Nelly and make her speak. She felt that that was not the right way to deal with someone who had just been shocked and stabbed almost to death. Purist on the other hand was just calm and kept holding hands with Nelly . Purist had learnt to love Nelly the little time she spent with her at Mambo mansion after  Ruth had sent Tere to save her from that illicit relationship and marriage. 

" Stop making it a must that she can speak. Nelly is in alot of pain and I do not really think that it is good if we upset her. She is traumatized and yet is it is true that she will need a therapist. We just do not have to tell her right on her face. We just do not have. The only thing that we have to do is to make her feel that she has her family with her because we cannot let Ryan and Lawrence know what has happened to her. It will put your family and my family in danger" said Ruth who seemed a little bit worried. 

" What? Why are you acting as if you do not know me anymore? Do you think that I would dare rush to her brothers and tell them that their sister has been stabbed by my own grandma. What do you really think of me Ruth?" Asked Faith who seemed a little upset. 

" I do not really have to think about anything. I know that you are the one who ressurected Evelyn. Everything that is happening in our lives has to be your fault. The fact that we are loosing our lives and havd to fight against Evelyn is all your fault. Why did you hide such a big thing from me? Were you planning to hurt my family then?" Asked Ruth as tears welled down her eyes.

" Before I ressurected her, I knew she was my grandma because she had come to me in my dreams. I thought she would bring love to us and train us to be more fierce in life but I was wrong. She instead has slandered our lives" said Faith who seemed regretful.
