CHAPTER 246

Ruth stood there aghast for a while wondering what to do. It was indeed Akeshia's family matter yet she knew that Faith and Purist needed her and her entire family support. 

After a few minutes of thinking, Ruth decided that she was going to comfort Akeshia no matter what the circumstances were. 

She therefore went towards Akeshia and leaned beside her. She put her arms on Akeshia's shoulder and hugged her from the left trying to beg her to calm down. 

" Everything has a reason as to why they happen Akeshia. Maybe Evelyn was meant to die but I truly want to say my sincere condolences.  I am with you at this tough period of your life together with my family and the mambo town people" said Ruth. 

Ruth knew that the mambo town people were Nelly and Lawrence but did not want to bother to mention them as she knew that it wouldn't make Akeshia to feel any better but more angry. 

Yet she was all wrong. Akeshia was still filled with lots of anger. She immediately stood and ran towards Lawrence wanting to hit him up not knowing that he had injured his leg.

" You are the main reason as to why my mother is dead. How long had I begged you that my mother needed your sister to treat her? How long had I ? You promised me Lawrence. You promised me that you were going to bring Nelly to the closer gates to heal my mother. Oh! I see that your sister is back on her feet but what about my mother? My mother is lying six feet under not knowing about when she will ever wake up again" said Akeshia filled with lots of anger.

Martin and Ruth immediately ran towards her so that she wouldn't harm Lawrence who was already harmed. His wound had started bleeding which made him to feel alot of pain. 

" Do you see what you have done? You have made my brother's wound to bleed once more. Deal with you mother's death but don't you dare find anyone to blame it for. Even if I wasn't sick at that time, I wouldn't have dared to come to the closer gates for the sake of healing an evil old woman who has no feelings at all" said Nelly filled with lots of anger.

Nelly had truly hated Lawrence at that time but that did not really mean that she was ready to see him suffer. Nelly could also understand the kind of pain that Akeshia was feeling since she had lost her mother sometime too but that did not really mean that Akeshia had the right to blame people or beat people whenever she wanted to. 

" Listen here. My mama is going to take you and your brother back home together with the doctor and the nurses. His wounds needs to be treated or else he might develop a larger wound than we can think of" said Ruth. 

This time Naomi nodded her head in agreement and took the away. Naomi had agreed to leave based on the situation only. Otherwise, she wouldn't had ever wanted to leave Ruth on her own together with Akeshia and her entire family. They all left at that instant. 

Ruth on the other hand took it upon herself to clear Evelyn's things and house. Her aim was to make sure that there was no aim that would make Evelyn to come back to life again. As soon as she was done, Ruth arranged them outside the house and burnt them without knowing that it would anger Martin so much who came towards her and pushed her closer to him.

 " Who has given you orders to burn my grandma's things? Where do you get such audacity?" Asked the Martin as he unknowingly pushed Martin more closer to him. 

" You are hurting me Martin. I thought......." Said Ruth but Martin suddenly interrupted her.

" I will hurt you more. Come with me" said Martin as Faith and Purist came towards them and wanted to stop Martin but Ruth signalled them not to.

" Please take care of Aunt Akeshia. I will handle Martin" said Ruth as Martin pushed him inside the house and forcefully made her to enter the house. 

He therefore threw her towards the wall and followed her closely holding her tightly assuring the fact that she could not be able to breathe. 

" Martin please. This is not even punishment for what I have done. This is obsession. You are really obsessed by me. You are pushing closer to you and hurting me Martin. I don't know....." Said Ruth who did not really want to be more closer to Martin.

" Do you understand how painful it was to marry a woman who divorced me without touching her? Do you? Now the woman is the one who has ended my grandmother's life by burning her things without asking for my opinion. What do you expect me to feel right now Ruth?" Asked Martin.

" You married me as a little child. I was just a school drop out then you took me to school which was good of you but you doubted me and pushed me away welcoming the presence of Tere in your lives. What did you expect me to do?" Asked Ruth in a pellucid voice.

" Stay and fight for your rights as my wife. You were too young to do so" said Martin. 

" Too young to be accused of poisoning my daughter. You watched my daughter get married at the age of sixteen even after the many times I begged you to save her but you didn't. I had to get engaged to Ryan inorder to save her. You let Tere and Haggai to get out of jail after shooting my mama and the fact that Tere tried to stab me but couldn't. She therefore used your sister to make sure that I was stabbed. Do you know the main reason why I did not take any action? Because I knew Faith was forcefully influenced by Tere into taking drugs" shouted Ruth at Martin. 

Martin moved more closer to Ruth and tried to kiss Ruth who kept getting away but couldn't. This made Martin to get a chance to kiss Ruth which was something he had never done before. He had truly longed to feel Ruth and the warnth transformation she had in her.

Ruth tried to push Martin away but Martin instead caressed her on her cheeks.

" Your mother, sister and daughter are mourning your grandma Evelyn. It's not right of you trying to seduce me please. What if they come and........?" Said Ruth but Martin suddenly interrupted again.

" Shhshsh! None of them understand what I feel and what I want. I want you and now that my grandma is gone, then I will make it my priority to pursue till I bring you back to the closer gates. You are mine and mine alone and I will not allow make a single step to Mambo town and meet with that opportunistic Ryan" said Martin who seemed threatening and clear with his words.

" I will go to the closer gates because it is something that I promised Nelly I will do. I will have to put an end to Vivian's and Lawrence's leadership. After that, I will go to town One to unite a certain family then I will think what I want to do with my life" said Ruth.

" I promise you the fact that you are going to become my wife before you so all those" said Martin.

" And I hope you understand the fact that sometimes love fades away. I used to love you when I was the little girl that I was but now I feel like I don't live you any longer. I might be interested in Ryan and if that's the case, I will get married to him. Now you have to let me go. Your entire family needs us at this trying moment " said Ruth who tried to push Martin away but could not be able to do so. 

" I promise you Ruth that I will not watch you get married to Ryan. The war between those two towns will continue and one town will have to be a slave to the other. When that happens, then you will be the only one to pay for all those. You will be considered as the reason for all the blood shed that will happen at that time. So decide for yourself. I will be at the closer gates waiting for you to sleep beside me in my warm cosy bed" said Martin in a commanding voice.

" Fine! Then we will have to wait and see what will happen at that time. I don't know what the future holds for me Martin. What I know is that there are some people out there who really needs me and my support. I am leaving" said Ruth who immediately left. 

Martin watched her leave looking at her lustfully.
