How rude, he clearly didn't care about boundaries and personal space. I looked up to find all three of them staring at us, the girls covered themselves up with the sheets while Arden struggled to get his clothes on.
" Oh God! " Layla said as she turned around. Just when the good part had ended.
" Unbelievable!... " Arden muttered, along with some other very inappropriate things which he was kind enough to speak in Russian for the sake of our ears the girls ears, though I understood each word. And once he had his pants on, he glared at me, then he gestured to Layla and silently asked me what she was doing there.
" Who are these people? " girl number one asked, a nice looking brunette. And I beat Arden to the answer.
" I'm his brother and this over here,... is his newly wedded wife. " I said with a smile. Keeping a strong hold on Layla to prevent her from leaving. Which she desperately wanted to do. I could see her eyeing the door with a desperate look.
" Wife?.. you didn't tell us you were married, " girl number two teasingly accused . She was a blonde, and she actually sounded a little excited when she said that.
" Yeah, I mean, she can join us if she wants. " the brunette kindly offered and I saw the horrified expression Layla wore.
" And so can he... " blondie added, referring to me. And it took a lot to hold the laughter back. The look on Arden's face was priceless, I felt as if I had just gotten back at him for every bad thing he had ever done to me. And it felt good.
" I'm sorry, " Layla shakily said before she made her exit. Walking out as fast as she could.
" You're an asshole Germaine! " Arden angrily said as he placed a hand on his waist and shook his head. And the fact that he'd just called me by my Surname proved that he really was irritated. But all he needed was a few minutes to cool off before he got over it.
" Well, it was nice meeting you ladies. You may resume with your.... endeavours, " I said before flashing Arden a grin and walking out of there.
Layla had gone back to her room. And although I wanted to go there and torment her with my new discovery, I restrained myself. There would be time for that later, and I want it to be at a time when she doesn't expect it. I want to make her confess everything she felt while watching Arden and his little friends go at it.
And afterwards, I'll make her agree to my little proposal. And she will, no matter how difficult it might be to believe, she will say yes. She will let me do anything I want to her and she will enjoy every second of it.
I have just the perfect plan to make her agree. All it includes is her, me and one hell of an orgasm on her part. Something I'm more than willing to offer.

After a nice and refreshing shower, I made my way to the kitchen to get something to eat. At the same time wondering where Lopez, the chef I hired was. He was not supposed to leave until I came back.
I opened up the fridge and found some ready made lasagna. The good kind. So I took it out and decided to lower my ego for a few minutes and just heat it up. Although doing so did in a way make me feel like the help.
Lopez was definitely fired!! Who cares if this was supposed to be his last day working here.
" You stupid son of a bitch!! " Arden growled as he came striding into the kitchen. So I guess it was taking longer for him to get over it than I had first assumed. But not to worry, a nice plate of personally heated lasagna and a glass of freshly squeezed orange juice would definitely do the trick.
Oh, who am I kidding, just normal juice would have to do. I can only lower my standards so far.
" You did that on purpose, didn't you? "
I decided the best way to deal with this was just ignore him.
" You knew I was in there so you INTENTIONALLY brought her into my room! "
I wonder what all the fuss is about. I don't view what I did as a big deal, and neither should he. On the contrary, I find sex to be the best way to relieve marital stress. Plus I'm certain that I heard he and the human barbies finish things off even after Layla and I walked out. So he has nothing to be upset about.
He went on and on about how he was surely going to get me back for it. And when he realized I wasn't paying attention to me he asked whether I was listening.
" I refuse to defend myself... " I curtly stated as I tried to navigate my way around the bloody microwave.
" What?! "
I gave a half shrug.
" ..I mean defending myself or apologizing is basically a way for me to implicate myself in your heinous accusations, " I tried to sound as hurt as I could. What's the point of him being angry if I can't get any fun out of it.
" Are you kidding me right now? "
" No, I'm being very practical actually. See, defending oneself is like an admission of guilt. it's like saying there's a chance that I did it, and there's a chance I did not, but I'll apologise because I want to confuse you into thinking that I did even if I probably didn't do it. "
God, the look on his face was priceless. Lines creased his forehead and he narrowed his eyes in confusion.
" What does that even mean? "
If I knew I would have told him, but I was just as clueless. It worked to dilute the situation though. I call it reverse psychology 101.
" And since when do you cook? "
Walking around the VERY EXPENSIVE granite countertop, he got to where I was standing having noticed my difficulty in working the damn microwave.
" Dude, there's like a button right there that says on. All you have to do is push it. "
" I knew that. "
" Sure you did, "
See, I told you. All he needed was a little bit of time and the aroma of a professionally cooked meal to get over his tantrum. Arden is pretty much like a child when he's upset. And like all children, all you have to do is ignore them, then bribe them with refrigerated food. Works like a charm.
Christ! My parenting skills are just top notch.
" So, Layla agreed to stay with us? " he asked afterwards and I confirmed it. Then he asked me what I did to change her mind and I decided to be honest and tell him the absolute truth.
" She said that she had been thinking about it a lot, and after losing her job and apartment, the deal was sealed. "
Okay, I know that isn't the absolute truth but honesty is really very tiring.
" You think I should like apologize for what happened? " he then asked and I told him not to worry since I already had.
Yet another lie, but honesty is a process and I'm going to approach it with steady steps. Baby steps. And who knows, maybe in the next twenty to twenty five years I'll be one of those good people that actually enjoy helping others. Urgh,....just the thought of it makes me shiver!!
I then asked him where Lopez was and he told me the chef had to leave early since his daughter was graduating highschool. I can't believe that man! I've seen his daughter quite a few times in his famous restaurant. Has tattoos and piercings everywhere, and don't get me started on the dark make up. And for me to think that he abandoned Arden for her is completely upsetting since we're clearly more important.
And anyways, the poor girl will probably just end up robbing a bank or something.
" Okay, I'll go and call Layla, " I told Arden as I took out three plates and placed them on the island along with the required cutlery. Which is also very expensive if I may add. And no, I will never pass down an opportunity to anger you by announcing my enormous wealth.
" Um.... yeah, sure. " Arden said as he crossed his arms and trailed after me. I noticed the quizzical look he gave me but I decided to just ignore it. If he does happen to notice my intentions I'll simply lie again. I realised that I'm mighty good at it.

Layla's POV
It's stuck in my head! And no matter how hard I try, I can't seem to get the images out.
And I'm sure that Gabriel did it on purpose, I just know it.
I saw the look on his face when I walked out of there. It was even more arrogant than usual, if that's even possible.
