Chapter 17

"You have been chosen." You were chosen by the ancestors to protect the war from breaking out among the humans, witches, vampires, and werewolves. You were turned into a werewolf because your father was a hybrid," the old man blabbed.

He had me freaked out with everything he had just said. It was all white, as far as I could see. Except for the old man who was talking. He looked really old, his skin was thin and pale, his teeth were barely complete, and his eyes were plain white.

"My father was a human being, not a supernatural being," I screamed."Ask your mother if that's true, ask her about your real father," he murmured, "they are coming for you, don't trust anyone," he murmured again. "Who are they, and why are they after me?" I yelled, interrupting him, but he didn't respond.

"Hey, Adam, are you okay?" I opened my eyes quickly after breaking out of the creepy dream. I rose up, panting heavily. It was a dream, "Are you okay?" Lora asked, "Yeah, sure I'm okay." "You don't look well, but your sweating is normal," she murmured as she exited my room.

"It was just a dream," I said, trying to calm myself down. After a while, the tension had subsided, and I tried getting out of bed to go take a bath. I was so exhausted that I couldn't get out of bed right away, and I found myself rolling from one edge of the bed to the other.

I'm glad it was a weekend; school wasn't designed for slackers like me, and I can't wait for summer to be over. Lora walked back into my room, and I sat down. "Can't you use your fucking hand to knock?" I yelled. "Keep your voice down, mum has a visitor," she murmured, and sat down next to me on the bed.

"What the hell is my business with that?" I inquired, "Okay, sorry, I won't be bumping into your room anymore," she apologised. "By the way, I think mum is now planning on getting married again," she mumbled, "Marriage, how did you know?" I inquired.

"There is a handsome man downstairs with mum. He’s cute as fuck. Go and take a look. I had to excuse myself for them to feel comfortable," she cooed, I got up from the bed gradually, till I was up. I wore my flip flops and headed downstairs.

I walked quietly to the stairs to take a look. I couldn't wait to see the handsome man she mentioned. I came to a halt when I heard my name. I waited to hear what he had to say about me.

"Adam should know, he's a supernatural," says the narrator. "He's too young for that, he's only a teen," she mumbled. "That's the only way he'd be safe, keeping all the secrets from him won't help," the handsome man explained. "He's my son, and I'd do anything to protect him, please would you like to leave now?" she requested.
