Chapter 20

The kick hit me so hard that I flew back and landed quite far away from him. "Why don't you try to retaliate? Are you attempting to buy some time for her to arrive and save your a$$? "He screamed.

I stood up and gathered my strength. I was prepared to retaliate. Even though he was stronger, I couldn't wait to tear him apart. I snarled loudly and dashed over to him. He roared and charged at me as well.

We dragged ourselves to the wall by grabbing each other by the neck. I pressed him against the wall, repeatedly punching him in various parts of his body. He worked hard to turn me against the wall. Both of us were panting heavily and roaring.

He had me leaning against the wall. My legs were a long way off the ground. I grabbed him by the neck and slammed him into the ground. The floor shattered, making a loud noise.

He was sick of jerking me up this time. I stood up as quickly as I could and moved a few feet away from him. I needed to catch my breath.

I shattered the leg of a wooden chair. It had a slightly jagged edge. He pulled out an ancient dagger. We were both snarling furiously. We screamed and ran, attacking one another.

He thrust the dagger at me. I hit it with the wooden stick and jumped into the air to give him a knee kick in the face.

He landed on the stair railings, which had a sharp edge that went through his chest and out the other side of his body, causing him to groan in pain.

"Adam!" she screamed. I came to a halt and returned. "What was it that took you so long?" "Let go, they're coming," I yelled. "What about him?" she yelled. "Just leave him," she replied, "we have to go now." We both dashed out of the house after I dropped the stick.

We hopped on my bike, I reached into my pocket for my bike key, and I started the bike. "Hold on to me," I yelled. She put her hand around my waist and locked her hand. I felt her breast pressing against my back, but it wasn't the right time. I drove away before the rest would arrive.

The moon shone brightly, and the stars twinkled. It was absolutely stunning. We sat on the roof of her apartment building, admiring the view. “Call her she would be worried about you,” she murmured, I got her point "Can you lend me your phone?" I asked politely. She cooed and handed me her phone so I could call my mother. When I dialed her number, it rang for a few seconds.

Before she answered the phone and said, "Hello," I was quiet for a while. She continued to say hello, breaking the silence. "Hello, my name is Adam. I won't be able to return home tonight. I'm staying at a friend's house. I mumbled, "Good night, I love you."

I'm sure she was relieved when I called. "Thanks for saving me back there," I said as I handed her the phone. It was much appreciated. "Nah, it's fine," she said.
