The photo album appears to be old and dusty, but it has been cleaned; she must have done so. I haven't seen it with her before; I wonder where she got it.
Lora inquired, "Did you bring this photo album with you when you entered the room?"
"I thought I was the only one who didn't notice her bringing it inside," I explained.
Yeah, I brought it with me, but I hid it because I didn't want you to see it, so I kept it hidden from you," she explained.
"All right," Lora said, referring to the situation.
While we both waited for her to open the album, I was really looking forward to seeing the pictures inside. I knew I was going to laugh because most of the photos inside the album could be her childhood photos.
She opened the album cover, and there was a note attached to it that said, "We are always going to be together no matter what happens, best friends for life," and there were two signatures underneath it, which appeared to be her best friend's and her signatures.
"Who is the owner of the two signatures?" I inquired.
She looked at the note and touched it, as if recalling how they had written it back then.
"This is my signature," she said, pointing to her signature and the first signature on the right side.
"How about the second one?" Lora inquired, indicating the second signature.
"That was your mother's signature," she said.
"My mummy's signature," she asked, trying to confirm if she had said that correctly.
"No, I didn't make any mistakes. I know what I'm saying," she said softly, her gaze fixed on Lora.
Wait for her, you're not her mother, "I inquired.
She explained, "Yes, I'm not both of you mothers, and that's the secret I'd like to share with you right now."
Then she pointed to a picture of a girl next to her, a picture of them when they were probably about fifteen years old, and they both looked cute together.
"The girl in this picture, standing beside me, has been my best friend since I was a child," she explained.
She re-closed the book and placed it on the bed.
We had always been together until we left high school, but after high school, I moved out of the country to study, but we stayed in touch. I met someone I loved, and she met someone she loved. My husband and I both thought of coming back here to have a proper wedding, but she was also pregnant at the time, so I agreed to what he said, and followed him back here with my twins in my stomach. When we returned here, I reunited with my family and friends, and me and her had more time to hang out. We went to her dinner with our husbands, and she introduced me to her husband, while I introduced her to mine. Her husband was more than I expected, and she never told me that he was handsome and good looking. "
