Making the right decision

Olivia's POV

I was so happy to see Didi again after so many years. He was my first real friend and was like a family like me.

“I should leave “. Jude mumbled calmly while he kissed me on the cheek.

“I'll call you “.he smiled at me before leaving my apartment.

“Olivia”. Tony tried calling me, but I ignored him and sat beside Didi,

“You look good, oli”. Didi said those words while staring at me.

“Please stop that “. I shyly looked away.

“I'm going out for a while”. I heard Chris voice at the door .it was obvious he wasn't happy with Tony here.

“He really does hate you “.

“Yeah, it's obvious”. Tony replied.

“How are you Oli”. Tony asked, but i ignore him and looked away.

He hissed softly and stared at Didi,

“Can we talk “. Didi asked. I knew what he wanted to say, but I already have my answer.

“Why not”. I replied him with a smile.

“I want to talk about you and Tony “.he paused and stared at me for a while, but I did not say a thing.

“I know so many things have happened within the years, but i know you guys are for each other “.he said the word like he was so sure if it.

“Hear tony out, he has a lot to explain”.he pleaded.

I stared at Tony and saw how worried and sorry he looked. But I looked away.

“I don't want to hear anything from him, Didi”. I spoke in a calm, low voice.

Didi hissed softly before speaking up, 

“What about the baby “.he asked 

“And what about the baby “. I asked in anger.

“He needs his father, don't you think so “. Didi asked.

“That won't be a problem, Jude will be there for my child”. I replied calmly.

“Hell no “. Tony who have been quiet all this while shouted in anger. I stared t him and realized the word I said might have really hurt him.

“Calm down, tony “. Didi tap Tony on his shoulder.tony stared at me but not with anger, before he relaxed on the couch.

“How can you say that, oli”. Didi sounded disappointed.

I hissed and close my eyes before opening them.

“The baby is his, and will always be his .but I won't get married to him just because am pregnant with his baby “. I spoke in a calm voice, but it was obvious I was already angry, as my words echo in the room.

I, Didi and Tony sat there without saying anything to each other for a while before Didi spoke up.

“You know I will always support whatever decision you make oli, I just hope you are not making the wrong one this time “.he stood up and smiled at me l before leaving the sitting room.

Tony stood up and stood in front of me,

“I will never let you go, not in this life or in the next to come “.his voice was calm, but I knew he meant all he said.

He left the sitting room with Didi.

I hissed in frustration before going to my room.

Why would my life be this complicated, how can I be in love with two men at the same time. I search in my closet and took out a sweat pant. I changed into the sweatpants and lay on my bed, trying to forget all that was happening around me.

“Finally, he is gone “. I looked at the door and saw an annoyed Chris staring at me.

“seems like you are already missing him “. I mocked. Chris rolls his eyes and moved to the bed.

“Why is he here “.he asked, 

“Nothing serious”. I replied nonchalantly.

“You still love him Oli, I saw the way you were looking at him “. Chris spoke with an annoyed look.

“Please, Chris, not today “. I pleaded.

“You will never accept it oli, you are madly in love with him “. Chris spoke calmly before leaving my room.

He was right, how can I possibly stop loving Tony. I chuckled softly and drifted to sleep.

The constant ringing of my phone woke me up from my sleep. I hissed angrily before picking the call.

“Hello “. I spoke up, 

“Hello oli,”.the voice sounds familiar, but I wasn't expecting a call from a person like her. I took away the phone from my ear and saw that it was from an unknown caller.

“Sorry, who is this “. I asked politely.

“Have

"I've wronged you so much that you can't recognize my voice anymore”. Hearing her said that, I instantly knew who it was.

“Good day ma'am”. I greeted,

“Please don't call me that, okay “.she spoke politely. I wondered what this was all about,

“Alright, is there a problem”. I asked while getting off from the bed.

“I need a minute of your time “.she pleaded

I hesitated and thought for a while before speaking up.

“You can talk to me”.

She kept silent for a while and I felt the air between us tense.

“I'm sorry about the other day at the hospital”.she spoke slowly,

“It's okay, I understood you were in a lot of pressure”. I replied  her.

It was true, I have no grudges against her.

“No oli, you don't get it “.she kept silent for a while before she started talking,

“You know I blame you for Tony leaving the country five years ago. I blamed you for separating me from my only son, so for that reason, I developed a ridiculous hatred for you “.wow, I never knew she thought of me that way.

“It's okay ma'am”. I genuinely replied. Indeed, I had nothing against her.

“Oli”.she called out. Hearing that name from her, I remembered all the good times we had together while I was still working with them.

“ I'm listening” I spoke up, 

“Please don't punish my son because of my attitude and behavior towards you. Tony loves you a lot, and I know you do the same “. Hearing those words from her, I hissed and ran my fingers in my hair.

What must I do to make these people understand that I have already made my decision and I know it's the best for me.

“Ma'am, whatever that is going on between I and Tony got nothing to do with you, so you should stop bothering about it “. I spoke calmly, but I was already irritated.

“Please oli, just think about it, you are not only punishing Tony but also yourself and your unborn baby “.she begged.

I hissed softly and sat on the bed.

“I've made my decision, ma'am, and I think it's the best for me. Tony and I can't be together”. I spoke firmly.

The line was quiet for a while before she spoke up,

“I hope you think about this carefully, goodbye oli”.

“Bye”. I ended the call and threw the phone on the bed.

“ I know I am making the right decision “. I whispered to myself.
