Chapter 65

          I felt a lot better  having them with me. Now I know I am not alone. The gate to the asylum opened and a man walked in, it was the same man who told me lies about my family. He must be so happy. He has achieved something great.

       " Reth, how are you feeling now?" He asked, He shouldn't be asking such questions, how am I supposed to be feeling? '' I glared at him, " I know you are angry,but I have something that might cheer you up," he said.

     That's just great, a vessel of a demon has a gift for me, I can't wait to see it, " sarcasm" Athena said as she scoffed," your mom came for a visit, she is right outside" he said as he pointed to an unknown location.

    The last time i saw my mom she was possessed, and she threw me out of the house claiming I was an embarrassment, for no reason, why is she here to visit, she told the young man who could be possessed,that I was pregnant and went for an abortion then got rejected.

     Which doesn't make sense, I haven't slept with anyone, not even Peter whom I love so much. Well I don't blame her anyway, she must have gotten herself, and realized she threw one of her children outside. 

     " Ok, I am right behind you" I said to the man,he had a satisfied look on his face, " thank you, I will be outside, waiting for you" he said as he left the room, " what are you waiting for?" Athena said, I was reluctant to see my mom.

     " I feel bad Athena, my mom loves me, can't love make it impossible to be possessed?" I asked Athena who was by my side

     Lets go and see the outcome" Kailani said as she stood up from where she sat, I passed through the gate, but Athena and Kailani couldn't, pass the gate even when the gate was open, " Reth, we can't move further," Athena said.

    As she struggled to move further,, I can't remember when I had no complications, just one mystery to another, now I have to figure out why they can't pass the gate, maybe I should order them to do so.

      " You can move forward" I said, hoping I would make them move further with or without their permission, they tried moving further, but they can't, " Reth!" I heard my name, it must be the man who Informed me my mom was here.

   "Will be back" I said as I left to see my mom, " who are you talking to?,  the man said, " no one" I replied,I have to time to think of words that might ryhme to the words I just said, I left him hanging then went in search of my mom.

   I moved further and I saw her siting on a chair, she was worried, I missed her so much, I was overwhelmed by emotions, I really wish she is her to take me back, she must be back to her senses, I could see her almost red eyes, and wet lashes.

    Accompanied by slightly swollen eyes, she must have cried alot, I stood beside a wall, so she won't see me in my state if misery, warm tears already accumulated in my eyes, waiting so the right opportunity to flow down my cheek.

     " Reth, why are you standing,go and meet her, she has been waiting for you" the man said, it was actually the first time, I didn't show any form of resistance, I listened to him then walked up to my mom, immediately she saw me, she stood up from her sit,then walked up to me.

      " Reth dear, oh my baby" she said as she opened her arms to give me a hug, I never thought I was be this happy hugging my mom, I guess I would be going back home now, my mom is back, I hope she wouldn't be possessed ever again.

     "How are doing?" She asked as she held me at arm length, recently that question doesn't make any sense, I am in a mental asylum, am I supposed to be happy?, I ignored her then gave her another hug, I really missed her scent.

     " No need to worry you would be with us soon" she said, and my hopes of going home was elevated, there's no place like home, I said within myself, " Reth, who was the father to your father?" She asked.

       I could feel my hopes and assumption fade immediately she asked the question, what does she mean by my baby, I was never pregnant, neither did I abort a child, even if I had to get pregnant it must belong to peter, no one else.

        I ignored her question, as I stared deep into her eyes, I just needed to see if there's any noticeable change in her body, she must be possessed, I held her hand then slapped it hard, " Reth, what is your problem?" She asked, as she held her hand.

     If she was possessed she won't feel pain, I walked closer to her, I need to practice further, my mom knows I won't have an affair with any other person asides peter, and she wouldn't have doubted me, if I told her I haven't slept with her man.

      I built that trust, for sixteen years of my life,so where is this accusation coming from?, I took her left and and I pinched it hard,  she screams in pain, she isn't possessed, I can't believe this, was she also trapped in an illusion when she threw me out of the house?.

      " Mom, i don't understand what you are saying" I said as I walked close to her, "stay away from me Reth" she said as she moved backwards, my heart hurts, when I see the fear and sorrow in her eyes, I know I pinched and slapped her hands but I did it to know if she is still possessed.

     The images she had in her head is different from what I actually experienced
