Chapter 94

     But I guess I have to go to a bank first. The man left immediately. I stood shamelessly before him with my bra and underwear. I took the ATM card back into the house that looks incomplete but still manageable. I guess the ball is in our court now.

    I got dressed then, then sat close to the river, " I feel nervous, and Happy" Athena said, I feel the same way, but I guess I have to be the big girl here, "we would go out today" I said before leaving where I sat, then proceeding to the room, looking around i had nothing valuable other than the food, and fruits which are for waste.

     I might take a few fruits for the trip, then I hope I get to the road where I can see humans. Maybe I would ask for directions to the bank, I grabbed two apples, unfortunately the asylum cloth has no pockets so it's weird.

      We embarked on our journey, Athena and Kailani would know the way out, we moved for ages, this place is really abandoned,why?, " No idea" Athena said, we continued moving then I became tired and hungry, thank goodness I brought an apple along.

        We got to a tied road, finally after years of trekking, but I couldn't see anyone, I might get more dark skinned because of the sun, "we are almost there" kailani said, I sighed then continue moving till I saw houses, that looked like they were occupied but humans.

    "Next time I am choosing a location to stay" I said to the goddesses beside me, they chose a place far from where people lived, I saw a tall man walking towards me, he was staring at me like he saw a weird object, I smiled at him trying to assure him that I am perfectly ok.

    " Good afternoon sir,please where can I see an ATM machine or..or a bank?" I asked the man who still looked confused, " not far f-from here" he said as he pointed at the road, I looked at where he was pointing there was no bank or ATM machine, " he is afraid" Athena said.

     I can't blame him for being afraid, I look like a mad woman that has been taken care of, I sighed then continued my journey, I guess I would see an ATM soon. I could hear the sound of an open window, as people stared at me and whispered.

      " Antelope" Kailani said as she giggled, ``what does she mean by antelope? It's obvious that they are talking about me, I am moving at a slow pace anyway, no strength to move fast. It Feels like I am not walking at all. I need water.

    We got to a busy road, and I saw what I was looking for, an ATM machine, I quickly ran towards the machine and everyone that was present took to their heels, " you chased them" Athena said as she looked around everyone was frightened.

      Some left their ATM, some even left their money that the ATM gave them. I looked for a vacant machine then I inserted the card, wow I never asked for a pin, how do I type something I don't know, the card might be taken.

      By the bank, maybe they will call me a thief, let me try this year, shit it didn't work, " try you birth date" Athena suggested, I tried it and it worked, I sighed in relief how did the man know my birth date, it must be lady nalus doings.

       " How much do you want to withdraw?" Kailani asked, I was yet to put in the amount, let me try ten thousand naira, I inserted the amount on the ATM card and it went through. Wow, I held the money in my hands, it was a lot.

       I took it immediately then left the ATM. The people at the back were already taking pictures of me. I know they will post it on social media with the hashtag " the mad woman withdrawing money" but I don't care, it's their opinion none of them would ever imagine what I went through.

        What I will get first is a proper cloth, so people won't run away when they see me, then I will lodge in a hotel, then tomorrow I will start making preparations to travel out, then my journey begins.

    There was a boutique close to the ATM, I moved closer, a young lady came out with a frown on her face, she wasn't appeased by my presence I know I look weird, " I want to get some clothes" I said in a low tone, she frowned.

     " We don't sell clothes to beggars, go and bath" she said, before going back inside, I get really bad and unhappy I am now a beggar, but I came with money, I was about to leave when Athena held my hand.

   " Don't let them use you, you have two goddesses here to help you''she said before entering the boutique, even when the door was closed, and in no time the sales girl came out, she didn't stare at me like she did.

    She kept a poker face, meaning she must be acting on Athena will not her will, I smiled devilishly " this is what you get for hurting my rethabile" kailani said as she walked in elegantly I felt a hint of pride, as I walked in, this is why you don't talk to any random person rudely.

      I looked around which cloth would fit me perfectly, I saw different clothes, I could take them and leave, but I won't pay evil with evil, " take this one" Athena said as she pointed at a dress that is really exposing, just like kailani's dresses.

      " It's nice" kailani said as she stared at the clothe, " for a river goddess" I added, I saw a pair of jeans, and a nice top, I took two according to their price tag, " are you done or we should make her suffer for talking rudely to you" kailani said as she cracked her knuckles like she was preparing for a fight.
