Furious Derick

Olivia's POV

“Rona”. I asked again, trying to make sure I realized what she has just said,

“Yes Rona”.she replied nonchalantly.

I hissed and started walking away from her, 

“Wait”.she shouted behind me.

I turn around and faced her with my arms folded on my chest.

“You can't be serious, Rona will do worst than Derick”. I still remember how angry he was when he left that night.

“What did you actually do to him “. Lizzy asked while staring at me.

I took in a soft breath before seating on a pavement.

“It's a long story “. I murmured, 

“I'm all ears “.she sat beside and stared at me.

“Aunt saw Derick the day he dropped me off at my place, and it seemed she doesn't like him “. I stared at Lizzy and noticed she was confused.

“Did he say anything to her “. Lizzy asked.

“No, she hasn't even met him, she just saw him when he brought me home and concluded that she doesn't like him”

“That's not fair “. Lizzy spoke in anger,

“I know “. I replied.

“So what happened “.she asked, 

“She asked me to stay away from him”.

 “Why would she do that”. Lizzy asked in anger.

“She said he is a bad influence on me”. I murmured.

Lizzy kept quiet for a while before speaking.

“Don't tell me you asked him to stay away from you “. Lizzy asked while giving me a quizzical look, 

“I did “. I whispered.

“You did what “. Lizzy looked shocked. She wouldn't imagine I could be able to say that to Rona.

“I did “. I whispered

“Shit, and what did he do “.she asked while staring at me. Obviously, she was expecting Rona to hurt me or behave badly, but he never did.

“He did nothing”. I whispered.

“That's a lie “. Lizzy spoke in a doubtful voice.

“That's the truth, Lizzy, he did nothing to me or my aunt”.

“And you are not bothered about it “.she spoke, sounding worried.

“That's not my problem now “.

Lizzy and I sat there in silence till she stood up and pick up her bag

“Let's go “.she spoke softly

“Where to “. I asked while standing up 

“To Rona's house”

“You are joking”. I yelled 

She turns around and stare at me

“You are in a big mess now and only Rona can help you unless you have the money to pay “. Lizzy spoke in a calm voice, but I knew she was damn serious

“Are you coming or not “.she asked 

I stared at her and realized what she said was the truth, Rona was my only hope and I have to take the risk.

“Let's go “.

Lizzy smiled at me before walking away.

We boarded a taxi and within some minutes we were in front of Rona's house.

“I'm scared”. I whispered,

“I'm here with you “. Lizzy replied and held my shoulder.

I rang the bell on the gate and within a second a voice came through the speaker

“Who are you looking for” the voice asked .it was obvious the person was watching us through the camera.

“We are here to see Rona”. Lizzy speaks up 

“What for”.the man asked in irritation

“It's personal”. I replied.

The speaker was silent for a while before the man started speaking up, 

“Boss doesn't want to see you ladies “.the voice was rough and angry.

“Did you let him know that it's Olivia at the gate, “Lizzy asked.

The man chuckled softly before speaking up, 

“I think you kids should start going home before the boss gets angry”.

“We are not kids”. Lizzy yelled,

“Whatever, just go home”.

“We are not going home until we see Rona”. I spoke stubbornly. I can't go home when I know Rona was my only hope.

“Suite yourself”.he said those words And left us standing there.

“Do you think he will see us “. I asked, 

“I don't know, it appears that he is furious with you.

I hissed in frustration before walking away. Lizzy ran before me and held my hand, 

“Are you giving up already “.she asked

“No, but I have to think of another way because I don't think Rona will help us “. I said those words and started walking away.

We got a taxi and Lizzy drop off at her place.

When I got home, aunt wasn't at home. I changed my cloths and started walking to the coffee shop. When I got to the shop, I was welcomed by everyone and asked how was my health .if only they knew that I wasn't sick.

I changed my cloths and started working .work was going fine until I saw a familiar face staring at me. I noticed it and stared back, but he did not back out.

I took a better look at him and remembered he was Rona's man .what is he doing here and why is he staring at me.

I took a deep breath and continued working.

Time to time I lock eyes with him but quickly look away.

By 11pm I was done with work and started walking home when I saw the man standing by the corner.

I got scared and wanted to go back to the shop, but I pick you courage and kept on walking.

“Olivia”.he called out.

I heard he, but still kept on walking. I heard few steps behind me and I knew it was him. I hasten my footsteps, but he caught up with me.

“Can I speak to you “.his voice was calm and has no threat on it.

“It's late, I need to go home “. I replied and kept on walking.

“We can talk while walking”.he said those words and started walking beside me.

For some strange reason, I wasn't scared of him anymore. Maybe it's the way he approached me.

“Heard you were at Rona's place earlier today".

 “Yes”. I murmured, 

He kept quiet for a while before speaking up.

“Where you there to patch things up with Rona”.he asked while staring at me.

I looked away and did not reply him.

He hissed softly before speaking up.

“You should let Rona be for now, at least give him some time then you can talk to him because right now, he is really mad at you and ridiculously everyone even when we did nothing”.

I stared at him and realized he wasn't joking about what he just said.

“Is Rona furious “. I asked.

The guy signed softly before speaking up.

“I don't know what you did, but whatever you did is destroying him and making him a mad man .that's why I suggest you stay away from him in the main time, it's for your own good “.those words came as a warning.

I nod my head and started walking away, but he followed me silently till I got home.

“Good night and take care of yourself”.he said those words before leaving me at the front of my apartment.
