Lucinda’s POV
What was I thinking? I'm glad he didn't demand the flight ticket as evidence; I couldn't think straight when he was unconscious, and I'm not sure why. I arrived on the 23rd floor and walked to Barbie at her desk. She was talking to other employees before I entered.
"Oh Lucinda, you are here," she said trying to stand up…
"No need to stand up, my boss asked me to take the research files for him," I stated.
"Sorry for stressing you, I forgot to bring it to your office. Don’t forget about the club." Barbie said, and I noticed all eyes were on me. They were gossiping. I relaxed my ear to hear what they were saying.
"What is she wearing." A employee muttered.
"And what are those bloodstains on her body? Is she a butcher?" Another one remarked.
"Maybe she went on a mission with the boss," Another one added, and I smiled and walked out of the office. and hear everyone laughing.
"Is that what she wore to work? It's hilarious." One said laughing.
"She looks like a fighting doll." another one added
"No, she looks like a lady assassin." One commented.
"Guys stop gossiping and face your jobs." Barbie snapped.
I look at my outfit, I was so carried away taking care of Ralph that I forgot to change my clothes. He didn’t even tell me. He just asked me to go take files for him.
I walked into the office angrily and dropped the files on his table, making a loud noise.
"It’s anything the problem?" he asked, wearing glasses.
"No." I reply pacing in his office with my armour. He looked at me and laughed.
"Ain’t you going to take that off?" He asked and giggled.
"I've already been laughed at in the other office, and you didn't tell me I was wearing armour." I scoffed.
"Why do I need to tell you," he snarled.
"Didn’t you say the armour was heavy earlier?" he said, and I frowned at him and walked into the closet.
Ralph’s POV
I am never going to understand that woman, i am still marveled at her actions today. She was acting like a novice, an innocent and delicate woman. I didn't know she was a skilled fighter. Maybe this is the kind of woman I needed. I still can’t believe I entered a plane home. I would have felt it anyway. It’s in the past as long as she saved my life. I regret doubting her. Now I think I am starting to trust her.
She walked out of the closet in her sexy outfit from the morning and looked at me with a bloodstain on her lips.
"Come," I declared. Bringing out my handkerchief, she walked over to me and looked at me.
"Come closer." I said stretching my handkerchief to her face. I began staring at her after cleaning the bloodstains on her lips......
"You are cleaning my lipstick!" she snapped, waking me up from my imaginary world.
"Sorry," I said removing my handkerchief from her lips in a shy way.
She walked to her office, and I stared at her as she applied lipstick to her lips.
I look at my handkerchief and throw it in the trash can. She doesn’t even wear makeup, only lipstick, but she still looked dashing, more dashing than a woman who loves applying makeup. Isn't that magnificent….
