"You are early today." Deacon remarked in a deep voice.
"Yea, I just got here, but Ralph asked me to feed you first thing in the morning," she replied.
"He must be happy that he managed to get the horn." Deacon stated
"Really? He's got a horn." Lucinda squealed, acting clueless.
"Yea, we both went to fight demons together I asked him to call you, but he kept on insisting that it's the weekend, Ralph can be quite stubborn sometimes." Deacon remarked
"He should have called me, I would have been happy to help, I didn’t have any serious things I was doing yesterday," she stated.
"You can go and assist him now before he says I'm holding you down here." He stated, and she walked away.
She climbed out of the hole and walked to the project room. She put her access card on the door, but it didn’t open.
"What’s wrong? Aren’t I allowed to enter," she muttered, looking at her card, as Mr Jones walked up to her. And he watched her struggle with her access card.
"Let’s go in together," he declared, moving his face closer to the door. A tiny robot came out of the door and scanned his eyes immediately. The door opened and Lucinda stared at him with her mouth hanging loosely. She was surprised.
"We don’t use the card to come in here because using a card can get us in danger. Someone can just steal a card and access this room that’s why we made the security tight," he said, leading her through the big room with employees who were working with different chemicals she was looking at them. When Ralph walked towards them.
"You are here," he said, using his eyes to scan her body.
"Yes, and you didn’t tell me the way I could get in here," she whined.
"Sorry about that. I forgot. I am glad Mr Jones brought you here. Come with me," he said, taking her hand. She narrowed her eyes on their hands and began to walk with him.
He led her to another room and sat on a big chair. staring at the demon's horn, which was in a plastic bottle on the table.
"Is this the horn?" Lucinda asked, starring at the horn.
"Yes," he replied
"Wow, it’s huge," she said, opening her mouth. She tries to touch the horn. He hit her hand away quickly.
"No touching," he stated with a serious face.
"Okay," she replied, bringing down her hand.
"It’s huge because the demon was a giant, and it’s a good thing, now we just need to finish making the antidote and grill the horn and put it inside to ignite the antidote," he stated.
Just then, Mr Jones ran inside
"Sir- sir, he stated, breathing wildly.
"What’s wrong?" Ralph asked, standing by his chair.
"There is a demon on the loose. He is huge and he is smashing houses on the streets," he stated, panting.
"let’s go, Lucinda," Ralph said, taking her hand, and they both walked out of the room and walked to their office.
