He walked out of the hole, and she followed him.
"Where are we going?" she asked, and he looked at her.
"We are going to the cafeteria." He replied
"I thought we were going to investigate?" She inquired
"We aren’t federal bureau inspectors, are we? That can wait, let’s eat first," he said, and walked to the cafeteria. He saw someone sitting in his VIP lounge, and he walked over to the person and dragged the chair that he was sitting on, and the person fell on the floor, growling painfully. Ralph looked at the person and it was Mr Jones.
"How dare you sit on my chair!" Ralph half yelled, glaring at Mr Jones with his eyelid raised.
"I'm sorry, sir, but you don't eat here very often," he said as he rose from the ground, his holding his waist in pain.
"Mr Jones, are you okay?" Lucinda asked, trying to touch him as everyone in the cafeteria stared at them.
Ralph grasped her hand.
"Leave him alone, everyone is a suspect!! He yelled, and Mr Jones walked out of the cafeteria holding his waist. Lucinda looked at him with pitiful eyes. They both sat down with all the employees staring at them, and Ralph glared at them with his eyes burning with fury. They look away and face their food immediately.
Lucinda’s POV
This man is heartless. When he is angry, he looks for small excuses to scold someone. What's the big deal about losing a demon’s horn? Maybe it’s the first thing he manages to get something from a demon, I am pitying Mr Jones I don’t know why, I have a strange feeling that he wasn’t the one that took it.
The waiter served us macaroni and a cheeseburger. Ralph glares at the food and dip his fork into the macaroni. is he also angry with his food?
"Why aren’t you eating?" He asked while chewing his food, and I realize I was staring at him instead of eating.
"I will," I said, taking the cheeseburger.
We finished eating and walked to our office.
Ralph’s POV
I can’t believe someone stole the horn right under our noses. I am so angry right now, I stare at Lucinda and she looks away immediately. It was like she was avoiding my gaze. I try to walk out of the office and she stares at me. I knew she was going to ask questions.
"Sir, where are you going?" she asked.
"I am going to investigate," I replied, and she ran to me.
"Gosh! Are you my bodyguard now?" I ask and she smiled innocently, exposing her beautiful set of teeth. I ignore her and walk out of the office and into the project room. I stare at all the employees and walk to my office. You can really trust anyone in this office.
Lucinda’s POV
Ralph used his hand to rub the table, and I bend down to pick up the box that the horn was in from under the chair. He took it from me immediately and stared at it.
