Hypnotized

"Actually, she was the one that stole the horn," I said While walking to Barbie, he gnashed his teeth.

"Ralph, stop, it was not her fault. She was hypnotized. I saw it," I said, and he walked back to me.

"Then I have to fire her since the demons are using her as a weapon," He stated as he attempted to get water from the faucet.

"She is not a weapon, just a victim. Please don’t fire her." I pleaded.

"What if the demons come and use her against me again?" He asked, with his eyebrows slightly raised.

"That won’t happen. You are just being paranoid," I replied, and he sprinkled water on Barbie’s face, and she sat up immediately with the water dripping off her face.

"What happened?" she asked, holding her head. I look at Ralph and reply," Nothing you just fell unconscious." I assured and Ralph helped me up from the floor, ignoring Barbie. He put his hand on my waist and tried to help me outside the restroom. I put my leg on the ground, trying not to move.

"What’s wrong?" He asked curiously, trying to get me to walk.

"It's okay, I can walk on my own. It’s my hand that is hurt, not my leg." I muttered, and he removed his hand from my waist slowly, and we both walked to our office, leaving Barbie in the restroom.

We entered our office and I sit on my chair, starring at the ceiling, Ralph ran to me with a first aid box.

"Give me your hand," he said, and I shyly gave him my hand.

He sat on my table and rubbed something oily on my hand.

"What’s that?" I asked as he massages my hand.

"It’s called an ointment," he replied and let go of my hand.

I held my hand and he looked at me.

"You are so brave. I wish I could kiss you right now," he said, and I blushed uncontrollably.

                                    Author’s POV

Ralph walked to his chair and brought out a file. He looked at Lucinda.

"It seems we are back to square one," he said, and she nodded.

"Sir, is it okay if I take a nap?" Lucinda asked

"You can," he said, staring at the file.

It’s evening, and Ralph walked to Lucinda’s desk.

He put his hand on her desk and she immediately opened her eyes and looked at him.

"Is this what you call a nap?" he asked sarcastically.

"I am sorry I overslept," she replied with a weak smile, and he grinned.

"Let’s wrap things up," he said, and walked to his desk.

"Are we going home?" she asked.

"Of course we are, or do you want to sleep here?" he asked.

"Hell no," she replied, arranging the files on her desk.

"And one more thing, you can go home; I'm sorry I couldn't drop you off today," he added, and she gave him a strange look.

"Where are you going?" She asked, and he smirked.

"Just somewhere to clear my mind," he replied, and she grabbed her bag.
