Laughing stock

I walked out of the bathroom and opened my wardrobe in haste, I took a red t-shirt and a black pair of jeans and wear them quickly.

I ran out of my house and lock the door, I walked to the garage and hop into the first car I lay my eyes on and try to drive out of my house when I sighted a car driving towards my car. And FBI written boldly on it. Oh my gosh! I am screwed.

Nathan was driving his car in the streets when he sighted Lucinda sitting on a bench. He stopped his car and parked it in front of her.

And he put the glass in his car, and pushed the door open.

"Get in." he commanded, and she looked keenly at him, then walked majestically towards his car and sat inside next to him.

"Where is your boss? I thought you went home with him." Nathan said, making a U-turn.

"I was with him, but he ditched me to go somewhere." She muttered with her eyebrows lowered and her hands pulled together.

"Hahaha, are you for real? Your boss ditched you." Nathan stated amidst laughter. And she turned to look at him.

"It’s not funny." She stated, with pouted lips.

"I know it’s not funny, but that doesn’t change the fact that he did." He replied, and she rested her head on the chair.

"Are you angry that he ditched you? Don’t worry, he doesn’t deserve you." He assured her and she looked up at him.

"Where are you taking me?" she inquired.

"Home, where else?" he inquired, and she sighed.

The remaining drive was silent until Nathan pulled over in front of her house.

Lucinda didn’t hesitate to step out of the car. She attempted to leave when he held her hand and walked out of the car.

"Why are you in a hurry? You didn’t tell me goodbye and you didn’t tell me how my performance was." He stated and she pulled her hand from his grip.

"Your concert was good," she complimented.

"Is that all?" he inquired, raising questioning eyebrows.

"Yes, that’s all." She replied. and started walking away. He wanted to stop her but pulled back.

Lucinda gait into the house and slammed the door, making Medusa jump down from the bed.

"My queen, what’s the matter?" She inquired.

"None of your business." She replied and sat next to Medusa on the bed. Medusa stood up from the bed and looked at her.

"Tell me I want to know." Medusa stated

"I rather not tell you I don’t want to become the laughing stock."  Lucinda replied, rolling her eyes, and she tried to lie on the bed and find out, the bed sheet had been changed.

"Medusa what happen to the bed sheet you changed in the morning?" she asked bluntly and Medusa gasped.

"It was dirty, my queen," she stated, giving Lucinda a toothy smile.

"Go and bring it to me I want to see." Lucinda commanded.
