I looked at the criminals and they were all staring at me. I moved to the side of the cell and sat there, resting my head on the wall.
They are not supposed to lock me up here, they are supposed to interrogate me. What kind of police are they? I can’t contact my lawyer. I looked up at the ceiling, i closed my eyes when I started to perceive a strange smell, and someone breathing on my face. I opened my eyes and sighted one of the criminals. He had long, bushy hair and a scar on his face.
I put my head down and he squatted to look at me.
"What are you doing here, pretty boy." He inquired, raising his brow.
"I was brought here for a crime that I didn’t commit." I muttered, and the other criminals burst into laughter.
"That’s what you people always say, you are murderers, but you will deny that you were falsely accused." He stated, they think I am lying. Why would I kill someone? What do I have to gain.
"See man, I save people, I don’t murder people." I stated confidently. And they burst into laughter, and he put his filthy hand on my face.
"Are you a superman or what?" He asked. I sigh and rest on the wall, I don’t have time to exchange words with people like them.
"So were you brought here, for a murder case or what?" Another one added and I nodded positively.
"Many people in jail are innocent, while some are guilty, like me, I was accused by my brother of having an affair with his wife." He stated. Finally, someone that gets me.
"I was a witness to the murder, not the murderer." I muttered, and they all looked at me and sat down.
"So, since you save people, what did you do to prevent the person from being murdered? Another one added.
"I tried to prevent it from happening, but I was too late." I mumbled, and the police came and knocked on the gate.
"You guys should keep it down, you are in jail, not in some beer parlor." He stated and walks away.
"So you guys are not allowed to talk in here." I inquired, and they nodded.
I am pretty sure I will be out of here by tomorrow. Speaking of Lucinda, I know she will be angry at me because I left her on the road side, I wonder how she got home. I don’t know why I acted that way.
Maybe because I was jealous that she was with me and wanted to go see Nathan.
The next day.
Lucinda got out of bed and sat up, yawning and closing her mouth with the back of her hand.
She looked at Medusa, who was still sleeping on the bed, and stood up from the bed. She used her hand to push her out of the bed, and Medusa fell off the bed.
"Ouch!!" She screamed and held her back, looking up at Lucinda.
