Trying to escape

She walked out, and Ralph saw Apedes and the king running towards them.

"Hey! Wait there." Apedes yelled.

Ralph quickly ran outside the hall and saw Kiros walking towards a blue air balloon. while Lucinda walked behind her.

Kiros walked to the balloon and entered it. She put on the fire and the balloon started going off the ground as Lucinda climbed in after her.

"Ralph!!" Lucinda called from inside the balloon as he ran towards them. followed by Apedes and the king.

"Kiros, you don’t want to take these creatures away from us, they our only means of survival." The king yelled from away.

Before Ralph could reach the balloon, it was miles away from the ground.

"Please save him." Lucinda pleaded, holding Kiros' hand, and she squatted inside the balloon and threw out a rope ladder for him.  Ralph grabbed the ladder and started climbing it when Apedes and the king also grabbed it and started climbing up. Ralph looked down at Apedes as they were climbing up the rope with him.

Apedes' head was nearly touching his leg. Ralph stopped climbing. Apedes smiled broadly as he caught up with him on the rope. Ralph used his leg to hit Apedes hard in the forehead, and he fell down the ladder and landed on the floor with a great thud. holding his head as he screamed. Now it was only the king, who was refusing to let go of the rope. Ralph didn’t want to hurt him because he was Kiros' father. Ralph climbed up the rope, and the king started climbing up when Lucinda handed Ralph a pocket knife. Kiros was biting her lower lips as Ralph put the knife on the rope and started cutting it.

"You should let him come up." Kiros said.

"Huh? No, can’t you see he is trying to abduct us?" Ralph replied and cut down one of the rope it was remaining one rope before the king fall to the ground and the air balloon was already miles away from the mountain..

Kiros took the knife from Ralph’s hand and started dragging her father up with the rope.

"Good girl, Kiros." He praised in a rumbling voice.

"I think this is a bad idea, just because he is your father." Ralph was trying to take the rope from her and she refused to let go, still dragging him up as he smiled widely at her.

Ralph didn’t want to give up because he knew if the king came up the balloon, things would get ugly.

"Let it go, Kiros." Ralph said, dragging the rope with her and Lucinda joined hands. Kiros used one hand to push Lucinda away forcefully, and she landed on the other side of the balloon, making the balloon change direction.

Kiros, on the other hand, was not about to let Ralph have the rope. Ralph hit her on the shoulder, and took her knife from her and started cutting the remaining rope.

When Kiros started fighting with him, raining punches on his back......
