In the garden

"What was that?" Nathan inquired.

"I don’t like flowers. I am sorry." Ralph shrugged.

"But you should have told me." He whined. Lucinda was just folding her hands and staring at them.

"Happy Easter." Nathan beamed.

"Same to you, me and Lu….i mean, my boss was just going to his house." Ralph stated and grabbed Lucinda’s hand.

"To do what?" Nathan inquired.

"None of your business, we will talk another time." Ralph scoffed, walking away with Lucinda. while she was looking back at Nathan.

Nathan glared at him and started walking away.

Lucinda drew her hand from his grip. He halted and stared at her.

"What?" Ralph inquired with his mouth hanging loosely.

"Don’t you think you were a bit harsh on Nathan?"

"I don’t think so." Ralph shrugged.

"I don’t like the way you treated him." Lucinda replied.

"Who is that guy to you anyway?"

"He is my friend." Lucinda muttered.

"How can he be your friend when he stares at you with those eyes." Ralph stated.

"What do you mean by those eyes? What eyes?" she inquired.

"He hugged me the other day, and I taught him a lesson, I thought he wouldn’t bother you again." Ralph stated.

"What did you do to him?" Lucinda asked, walking closer to him.

"I won’t tell you." Ralph said, walking back.

"You will." Lucinda stated, and grabbed his hand.

"I won't," he replied, and started running away. Lucinda runs after him.

After running for several minutes, Ralph halted in front of his house and started catching his breath.

Lucinda caught up with him and started catching her breath.

"I repeat, what did you do to him?" she asked bluntly.

"I swear I didn’t do anything." Ralph muttered.

"I don’t know why I don’t believe you." Lucinda stated as she started walking into the mansion.

"So where is the garden?" she inquired.

"Come with me." Ralph stated, leading her to the back of the house.

They both walk to the garden, where a wild field of grass is contoured by well-kept hedges and flower bushes. A greenhouse stood in the front of the garden, offering a step into a whole different world of nature. The flowers and plants are barely visible at first, but offer a spectacular surprise when found; they're rich in species. The hedges and flower bushes reach 4 feet high, but this is something that only seems to happen outside of the wild. A few, short signs are scattered around the garden, making Ralph and Lucinda want to explore the garden and showing them the best sights at the same time. Plants, grass, and roots keep each other in line.

Lucinda collapsed to the ground and began waving her hand in the grass.

"i can't believe you are acting girly with my body, so we'll be stuck here until the sun goes down?" he inquired.

"Yes, i can't believe I have to kiss you. Just thinking about it makes me want to puke." Lucinda muttered.

"Then i am not kissing you." Ralph said, pouting his lips and showing her his back.

"You can't refuse me, that's my mouth you got there." Lucinda whined.

"Now you know." he stated, and they started hearing a noise coming from the grass. Lucinda quickly got up from the grass.
